Ian! I love your channel so much- and wish you could post more often 😢. You influence many of my favorite purchases and I appreciate your depth of knowledge and charm.
I love everything except the earrings. The pearls are just too large, the original earrings would have had much smaller pearls. I think you should try to source a pearl spray product with smaller pearls.
i have to agree that Number 3 is the best of vintage Barbie dolls. They have a softer visage, serious without looking severe. The brown eyeshadow and liner definitely adds to the charm. i think my favorite Number 3 would be a titian.
I just got my first #4 Barbie - oldest one for me in my collection now, I’m excited to get her cleaned up and restored! Her hair is a mess and I will need to reset her poodle bangs, do you have a method for restyling them and if so can you please share!
Hi! Congrats on your first Number 4 Barbie! For her bangs, tightly coil each rooted section around a bobby pin, forming a small, neat circle. Carefully pour hot water from a kettle over the coiled bangs to heat set them. Allow them to dry completely for a few days before removing the bobby pins.
@ Thank you so much for responding, this is what I am going to do! So nerve racking today washing her hair with the flocked head, I was worried about it coming off since it had a couple small rubs already but it seems to have stayed put. Do you think it is okay to add some diluted gel to help set the poodle curls in this type of hair?
I love this Barbie! She is absolutely beautiful.

Congrats on that beautiful no.3! Her skintone looks really good and beautiful to her dark hair. You gave her a gorgeous re-glow up. 🤍

Thank you so much 😀
You Should send the seller a pic of your restoration! I’m sure she’d be happy that something that belonged to her mother is continued to be cared for!
Great idea! :)
