@barrett402 You sure about that? According to an article by Paul Williams in the Velvet Underground Companion Book, it's about trying to rouse a girl from an amphetamine overdose. Yet what's being described, while it could be a heroin overdose being described, it really doesn't fit a meth or speed overdose.

Pure New York City during the most creative period in music, in art, in movies and yes fashion. What an amazing time for freedom of expressing ones self.
I never ever tire of the music and artists who flourished during these times. However there were casualties of the times that who knows where they may have gone. RIP Johnny Thunders, Edie Sedgwick and many more.
And Dear Lou wherever you are myself and countless others are forever grateful for your legacy. May every day be a Perfect Day.

It's covered in placeholder lyrics. They only dont seem like placeholders because this album of unreleased (until 85ish) recordings and other albums like it sort of accidentally lowered the bar for completion for the bands that came after.
