Noise: A Physical Hazard in the Workplace

In this video I will be giving a brief overview of Noise which is an important physical hazard that a worker can be potentially exposed to!
We will be going over some basic concepts of the physics of sound and the physiology of how our body can detect and perceive it. We then discussed hazardous noise exposure in the workplace and its health effects, namely occupational noise-induced hearing loss. Finally we talk about the different types of controls which can be implemented in the workplace, in order to minimise the risk of excessive noise exposure, using the hierarchy of controls.
My aim for this channel is to provide everyone with some valuable information in the area of occupational medicine.
