Sawubona, Thokoza, Shalom, Salam Aleikum, Namaste 🙏 I did not only hear it I felt it Gogo, these are the basics we have forgotten! The essence of Ubu-Ntu! Harmony, wholeness, all things are complete, nothing missing. This is absolutely crucial and a fundamental buidling block if we are to restore anything. So much power in what Gogo is saying in terms of meditation and the drum, I think these things only make sense through experiencing them. But I appreciate how Gogo tries to put these things into words, not an easy exercise. I like how the dog comes in to sit close to this energy as it expresses 😁That looking from the mountain is so crucial, I can attest to it myself, you get to SEE the many paths when looking from an arial view. This diminshes biase in a great sense. I remain a student of Life and Nature in understanding the realities of our world. "Love your neighbour more than you love yourself", what a world it would be indeed. I think it is a world almost of fantasty but one that would be beneficial to all of us! We are ONE, a crucial concept. There is no seperation indeed between the spiritual and what we consider physical. Powerful message Gogo, Thokoza. The wisdom of the Ancients. Gogo you're indeed a well many in our generation need to drink from.

Mr Mashiqi's analysis is always spot on in my view. When one listens to him, one needs to wear their objective hat on because he doesn't always say the things we want to hear but the things we need and loath to hear. He may be imperfect like all of and thus his analysis imperfect but he doesn't go out of his way to mislead with his analysis. Great discussion Dr Mpofu! Your platform is a breath of fresh air. Keep it up
Thank you to uGogo and Mr Mpofu-Walsh, the work you do I am convicted that it is indeed directed & commission by our ancestors! The sobering account for me is when uGogo speaks about; Spiritual, heart and mental pain born from the past (1:30:00 on wards). Why I say it's a sobering account, we as society & the "youth" in particularly, tend to look at our history (elders / leaders) out of context and as an even in isolation. Can you for a second imagine the pain and affliction that our elders would have experienced and lived through? Suddenly in 1994 "the so-called dawn of democracy" the same hurt & broken people are expected to just solider on? Without fault and or strife? Without having been afforded the time not only to deal but to further heal from their PTSD? These are just some of the thoughts & considerations that this episode has synthesized in me! This episode for me was very telling and I would urge that we have more to these conversations, where we analytically and systematically diagnose breakdown in the revolution that will not only give us "freedom" but would also allow us to reach and realize the "envisioned self"
It is more like a student and a teacher conversation especially when the conversation shifted to spiritual matters and metaphors. Indeed a cleansing is really needed for de entire country Credo Mutwa did indicate . A spiritual reset will open the way for everyone because South Africa is a spiritual land .check

Great one,you gentlemen were gooi'in "Look to the mountain" The point that renewal starts with you as leadership,is a point that needs to be hammered into the ANC,but I fear it would still not get through to them, they are too far gone and I suspect GoGo was saying it without really saying it...the reason is that there is no sign on sight to suggest that renewal will occur any time immediate, and the events and the people need relief sooner than they the ANC needs time for this renewal
I always wonder if how the ANC went so wrong, being blessed with such philosophical people to draw wisdom and ideas from...I wish some young leaders could spend time talking to people like Gogo Matshiqi . Thank you for yet another insightful interview.
Exactly my thought. Though mine extends to the whole SA, how can a country with so good politicians, intellectuals, healthy political discourse get things so wrong.
Thanks for a great great great conversation. Happy, Happy, Happy birth day to Gogo Aubrey Matshiqi. Hlubi niyasondla, nisinika amandla 🤝 ndibamba ngazo zozibini.

Thokozane Gogo👋Happy 60th Birthday tshegofadiwa re phelele uGogogo! The political and spiritual substance is truly appreciated. Dr Sizwe I greatly appreciate it.
The analysis cuts deep and brings myself and many across the spectrum to a point of vulnerability. That moment we decide if we will see and move to build others or we turn to into ourselves and our tribes and put up walls.
Whenever I see you posting your interview with Gogo I'm conflicted on whether to watch it right away or to leave it for Sunday morning when I have my cup of tea and fully relaxed. A Sizwe- Gogo interview is like that last piece of chicken kkkkkk
There needs to be a time when we analyse our issues while actualising solutions in real time. Our people (South Africans) need to learn about politics and diplomacy, and how to use its power to get what we want. We cannot alienate people we dont agree with all the time.
I agree with gogo Matshiqi that Tata Nelson Mandela was an idea of freedom of the oppressed majority in South Africa. The concepts of a rainbow nation and a government of national unity during his presidency should have been used as foundation to forge a new society that would reflect the ideals as enshrined in the ANC's freedom charter. If that opportunity was grasped and meaningfully utilized, we wouldn't be where we are today. Instead, because of greed and a desire for self-enrichment, South Africa became an ally to coloniality, as Dr. Matshiqi rightly puts it.
To further the discussion around the spiritual element of this, our nation, I believe it would be instrumental to invite the honourable, former chief of dispute resolution, Mogoeng Mogoeng.
We need not glorify Waluz..for me he's a mere sniper. i want to rather dig deeper than that. and the secrets kept by him are what worry and hurt me. it continues to fuel the thought than some within the ANC its self killed Hani.
What about what happened before Ramaphosa became a president, what is supposed to happen in order for the people of South Africa to be well served, because it seems somewhere along the line some individuals are benefiting out of this confusion. Who is to be blame, is us who voted the ANC because nobody forced us to believe everything ANC says, because talk is cheap, but actions speaks louder than words, what we see today determines the performance of ruling party, not only President C Ramaphosa.
Gogo does it again. On the subject matter of BEE and Affirmative Action. It would have been great to get Gogo's thoughts on the recently published book by Peiter Du Toit. ANC Billionaires. In the light of how only a select few were over empowered at the expense of the greater messes. Hence the attacks on the BEE Concept and Policy...
When BC complained about the TRC we were told that we did not appreciate peace and reconcilliation. One of the main complains was that the colonial apartheid regime did not disclose who brutally murdered Bantu Biko, that was ignored. Both the SACP and the ANC thought that, such pain will not be passed to them. Today the system they supported is now haunting all of us in the name of Janusz Walusz. What is an irony is that now the SACP and the ANC pretend not to know how we got here.

Love the conversation @ spirituality, self-reflection, the dialectic of the I and you of Buddhism and the trauma endured during apartheid in its old form by many in SA leadership. I would have love to hear Dr GAM’s thoughts on whether or not he felt the Truth & Reconciliation Committee led by Desmond Tutu did its job or could it have been implemented differently?
Gogo never disappoints in his analysis. I wonder in this ANC decline, what will be the recognition contribution of the so called intelligentsia of the party. An organisation currently through its president (as state president) espouses the "socialist policies" but, mingle with capitalist interests. I wonder what would be a foreign policy outcome emanating from Dec Conference, and translate into government. Because, SA I do not see it having a good foreign polity that will strengthen the country as a force to be reckoned with.
