I know exactly who's house this was, he was in a Christian band and various performances. That film/act And The Big Men Fly was about footy and funnily enough a fictional team (at the time) called the Crows I'm not sure whether he has died or if he's still alive, and I have searched but can't find. But it's sad to see some of that stuff just laying there. Very valuable and vintage things. Nevertheless great find by you. I live in this area and it wouldn't surprise me if there was many houses like this that have remained mostly untouched for years.
Thanks for not giving any details away Josh as I would hate to see those things get stolen Myself and Julie-Anne have done some research and it seems he may still be alive. Yes he has a very interesting past too. Very active in community groups. I think you are right about there are many sitting around like this too. Thanks for watching mate :-)

Joshua, I'm happy to see the evidence left behind that these people were Christians. Wherever they are now they are in the Lord's hands and looks like they served Him well. :)

Chuck Girard, from the poster you found, was a pioneer of what is now called Contemporary Christian Music in the 70’s. He was from Southern California. So was Evie (Tournquist). I saw one of her albums on the floor of one room. Loved the video, very interesting. Many seemed to get bad or weird vibes from the house, I got good ones.
That makes sense with other things i saw regarding Christian stuff Donald. I only got creepy vibes from the dark rooms. Lots of info in this house and an interesting story, Wish I could have shown and told more. Cheers for watching :-)
Greetings from the USA. I really enjoy your videos, I love all of the detail that went into older Australian homes, I can't believe so many of them are up for demolition. It is good to see that they are at least trying to salvage some of the details before they demo them, but wow, there have been some really nice houses in many of your videos. I am assuming that white ants are termites. Here in South Carolina where it is warm and humid, termites will destroy any untreated wood in contact with the ground within months, so we have yearly inspections to make sure the house is not being munched. One interesting thing that I noticed about many of the older homes you explore, as compared to American homes of the same vintage, is the separate toilet and wash rooms. Here in USA they are almost always together in the same room. I have rambled long enough, keep up the good work!!
Hi Andrew and welcome to the channel :-) Yes there is a lot of development happening here which spells doom for a lot of old homes :-( The termites certainly had a real go at this one! Thanks for watching :-)

G'day Paul ... I haven't read other comments, so could be repeating other folks thoughts. I'm with you thinking a 1940s house. I think one of the people who lived there was a children's entertainer and linked with the Salvation Army. The Salvos cap is more than likely genuine, even with a plastic badge. The clock is not too old or valuable; probably 1980s. It is a Chinese replica. (I was in the clock and watch business for 35 years) The entertainment unit is top quality for its day, and would bring fair money today. Once again, a great find. Cheers, Ken
Great comments Ken! :-) Thanks for sharing the info, yes late 40`s i reckon. Seems the bloke was quite the entertainer and is a real mystery why he has not been back to collect all his cool old things? Cheers for watching mate :-)
Beautiful Bird of Paradise plant. Love the glass cabinet doors in the kitchen. Ancient fridge!! It looks like someone passed (probably a grandmother) who lived in the house and some relatives started packing up stuff. Garage Sale sign. A lot of the stuff is 'older' like the toys. Hey Paul, Love when you get to explore houses full of stuff. I think this place is 1930s going by the fireplace and the stepped cornice. I remember well that Astor player and radio from the 60s, would have loved to check out those vinyl records. Keep up the exploring, always enjoy the trip through these homes.
Yeah these ones are fun for sure Julie! :-) Yes the tiling on the bathroom floor almost made me change my mind to late 30`s also. Shame the old things are wasting away in this home , seems the bloke has vanished.......Thanks for watching :-)
The room with the entertainment equipment contained a very valuable commodity...The Coca Cola esky. Commonly found at sporting events filled with ice and drinks, now worth thousands. And the canisters of films, it might be a good idea to salvage for prosperity, as they could be historic. Again, another great explore. 👍👍🇭🇲
Hi mate :-) The esky...really? lol Wow. Yes I feel for the old films just sitting there as they should be in the right hands and conditions to be preserved. The guy seems to have vanished or wiped his hands of this place as no attempt to even board it up if he has checked on it......strange. Thanks for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Even the old cement washtrough, in any configuration from single to quadrupole, with orginal plinth, are worth big dollars so long all is original. 👍👍🇭🇲
This sure is a mysterious and creepy termite invested house, with heaps of abandoned toys, costumes and old films. It appears this late 1940s to early 1950s home has been left abandoned for quite some time. Perhaps an elderly person once lived there. The resident was obviously an entertainer and enjoyed music and wearing costumes. I cannot help but pick up odd/uncomfortable vibes with this property though. In the footage I did notice there was a sign written with 'garage sale' and this property might have been a dropping point for denoted items, intended to raise money for charities. What an interesting discovery of the old 1970s Astor Solid State radio and record player, amongst heaps of other strange items. The wigs freaked me out a tad. The kitchen appears original, with 1950s benches and cupboards. The old bathroom is also original, with very little update, accept the toilet. Another later addition to the house is the mid to late 1970s front entry door. A most intriguing explore thanks Urbex Indigo.
Hi Julz! :-) Yes a creepy vibe the further I went through this place. As you know so many clues I cannot share in the video or comments. We will keep stitching the clues together. Cheers for watching again :-)
What an interesting find. I remember those old swings like the one in the yard. You could swing with a lot of kids all at once! Lots of treasures like the record player and VCRs. Some kids were missing their Ernie and Humphrey Bear.😞Also the metal cased film in the cupboard would be interesting to have a look at. Hopefully someone saves them. 🤞thanks again!
Do you close doors & windows when you leave the house if they were open prior to you making entry? This would help preserve the contents and the inside of the house as it is.
It sure is thevacdude but the fuses were removed.......maybe the squatter hides the fuses til they get back there or used to get back there at night so no one else sets up camp haha. Cheers for watching :-)
Fascinating. When you open cupboards and suitcases I keep waiting for a mouse to jump out. That radiogram was very very expensive when new. Well they were here in NZ. My dad brought one in the early 50's. Thanks for the tour.
I've got a vibe that the owner worked in media (television), the pro video tapes, 1" tapes, records, 26mm film cans, VCRs, even a Channel 7 model chopper? Must preserve some of this stuff!!!
What a great find video tour. I love your attention to detail. So much stuff and I also think there were children living here. Maybe It could have been used as a children’s foster home.
Hi mate, just found your channel and subscribed, because it's an Aussie one. Lot's of British and American abandoned explorer channels, been looking for Aussie ones. Great video.
My father had an old record stereo player similar to the Astor. You lift up the cover just like that. Well it is interesting to see what was left behind and why they left.
Hi Paul, this was magnifique ,so many things left behind and reading the comments I found out about its owners how sad ,must of been really amazing to be there , really enjoyed it thanks Paul have a great weekend big 🤗 from a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺👍👍💝
Glad you enjoyed it Francoise :-) Yes the man was heavily involved in many community ventures but all the toys were kind of an oddity but not out of the question given other info I found.....Cheers for watching Frenchy :-0
Fantastic job mate ,, really interesting to read the comments too .Heaps to see so will watch again me thinks then off to google to satisfy my curiosity about a few items seen and mentioned in the comments. Glad I waited till Sunday to digest this one . Awesome.
Hi Paul very interesting explore I must say that the carousel toy was very cute but a bit creepy and the house had a very dark feeling I suppose it will be demolished soon? Look forward to the next one
The further I got in the more creep it seemed to get along with all those toys! lol Not on demo list that I know Megan but with all that termite damage it will be at some point no doubt .....Thanks for watching :-)
I liked this explore. Of course I put my amateur detective hat on from some of the clues found in the house. At a guess I think the gentleman may have lived with mum and after she passed perhaps he abandoned the house. It appears it was in the one family with no history of a sale.
This place has a creepy vibe. The things left behind had an almost slimy feel, especially the large stuffed toys. Perhaps tearing it down would be a good thing. I think you were correct in guessing the 50's.
It was creepy yes Lynne, all the toys with no real sign of a family living there.....The termites are getting a head start on bringing this one down lol :-)
In its prime that was a very nice house except the pink and green bathroom. Thats Ernie. Bert and Ernie were named after the policeman and his friend in the classic Christmas movie, Its A Wonderful Life.
Hi. another great find & some cool stuff left behind. Chuck Girard was a pioneer of christian music Born 1943 in Los Angeles California. he is 77 years young. I think whoever lived there was a in the salvation army & all the toys etc were probably sold at garage sales to raise funds for them. Loved the old record player. Tfs. :-)
Hi mighty mo :-) Yes the bloke who lived there was involved in a lot of community type ventures. He loved his old audio and film equipment too! :-) Cheers for watching
Damn I’ve never seen that much white ant damage, and so much valuable vintage and retro stuff left behind and as for those films in the canisters the Australian national sound and film people actually have a TH-cam channel showing films that have been donated and restored.
So true Aussie kelpie, its like they or he just vanished.... He was defintely in to old sound and film stuff. I wish i could have shown more regarding documents....cheers for watching ☺
Nor had I Doreen but I did see a similar type thing but it had too many things on it and in front of it for me to get to it.....Thanks for watching :-)
Seems like it's mostly used for storage. But still quite of things left behind that were from the 2000's. But the termites/white ants handiwork did a number to this place it seems. So that MAY be the main reason of abandonment. I could be wrong though. But at least the bathroom is intact. Bathrooms are almost always the first things to get wrecked.
All great points MrOnyxWolf, not a very livable hoe with the termite damage. Unless they only did the damage after abandoned all thos years ago. Still a strange way to leave.....Thanks for watching :-)
Wow that's a step back in time! The wallpaper, pink cupboards, the whole kitchen, but I really want that fleetwood mac poster or record! My favorite group to this day!
What a shame the white ants have done there thing. They certainly destroy a structure. So glad the floor held up while you explored! Thanks for sharing another little home!
Hi Donelle, yes well they have certainly made this home non livable by law standards at least lol. Sad to see all the old cool things left to sit there ....cheers for watching :-)
What a collection of crazy stuff. I wonder if the squatter is still living there, that was the only clean room in the house. Well some what clean. Never heard of white ants, we have black carpenter ants and destroy stuff fast to. Keep finding these places Paul and I will keep watching
Hi Jo, yeah seems the squatter was enjoying the free power for a little while haha. The fuses were removed though now.......White ants are just another form of termites here I think. Cheers for the support Jo :-)
Be careful, that over turned flower pot outside that open window, tells me, someone else has entered. Be careful with squatters...ok, you're announcing yourself, great idea. Let's explore yeah!! Not ransacked, but used as a dumping ground from squatters or homeless people. Some tend to collect things that might be of value to sell. Also another group are your locals who have too much unwanted stuff, and use abandoned homes to dump their garbage, or the fourth group Hoarders, this looks like their MO. As long as you are alone and safe, we are good. Frame 6:58...Did sound like people whispering, which creeped me out!
Solsound popped up a few times in the house and there seems to be a fair amount of old school entertainment equipment around. There was a company called 'Solsound Promotions of South Australia. Ltd.' Once upon a time. It looks like it was delisted about the same time as this house was abandoned. Maybe worth looking it up for your own interest. Cool explore. Cheers!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice detective work mate! :-) Yes I found some other clues and actually found out who the guy is.......unfortunately I cannot go in to it for obvious reasons. Cheers for watching :-)
I feel like the person living here was a drama teacher with all the costumes and stage lights. Also helping her grand kids with projects. It's sad how all of this stuff is left to rot and the house is eaten by white ants. So much cool stuff! I've never seen so many stuffed toys (especially the large bear). Definitely signs of squatters - the heater facing the mattress. Portable cooker and Coles bags. Also the boards on the floor.
OMG!! What a golden feast for the eyes!! H.B.Bear, Beta video cassette recorder ( bought that very model on high purchase using the manual Bankcard "click click" machine when I was 15yrs) Woodville Peckers plush toy!! Bulldogs plush 80's toy. Some should checkout those VHS ●Street Kids and Various Welfare Subjects● tapes 😐 Great find👍
That house looks creepy , there were very old things that were never been touched that old school channel 7 helicopter looked cool , that house will eventually fall apart if there are white ants eating that house , Paul great search on that house
Hi Simon :-) Yes if the the termite keep eating they will not need to check on this place! lol So many cool old things left.....thanks for watching :-)
Me and I want that frigerator I've been looking for that type of style frigerator for a long time I would say that houses a little bit maybe like more towards 50s with the molding on the top knot forties again cuz for you would have more of a round look on the on the molding and everything they actually could be termites so there you go I think maybe that's a reason maybe they abandon it cuz it was starting to get eaten by termites and that would have cost so much money that the house was probably Beyond repair
Hi Larry, yep that fridge along with the radiogram were vintage pieces of kit! :-) The termites have sure made this place a target to be demolished now! Cheers for watching :-)
That place is just weird. Obviously a squatter's pad for awhile. Hard to say if he/she had the toy fetish or if they were left behind by the owners after they abandoned the property!
Weird and creepy yes mate :-) I think the squatter was enjoying the power still on for a while :-) The toys are too many for a squatter to just place around the home i think. Cheers for watching :-)
Could it possibly be a short wave radio because things in Australia so far apart yeah do you short way to get to hear things from different areas of the country just guessing if not it’s just a stereo with a radio attached
Hey grab that Barbie ferrari for me I had the same one when I was a kid I'd love it❤️❤️✨nice ET puzzle. gosh I love exploring old houses brings me back and also makes me feel at home. Movies books toys and furniture iblove.wish I could live in the country grow a big garden
That red Cafe-Bar is in beautiful condition. Each of the 4 turn dials was controlling a tubular plastic "jar" which was about 1Lt in size and containing what ever product the dial was dispensing, such as Sugar, Instant Coffee, Chocolate Powder and Powdered Milk. There is also a Water Tank maintaining Boiling Water. Disposable Cups were at one end of the unit and Tea Bags & Wooden or Plastic stirrers at the other. So you'd place a cup under the Coffee dispenser and "flip" the dial once for 1 shot of Coffee, then maybe move it under the Sugar for 2 "flips", then over to the Milk for a "flip", then place the cup under the Hot Water outlet and push down on the control bar until your cup was full enough. Grab a stirrer for a stir, give it a go around, flick it at the rubbish bin but miss so it hits the floor instead, and if you didn't like the cleaner, randomly flick the dials a few times without a cup being under them to leave a mess. Or to annoy your work mates, lift the units lid and rearrange the positions of the plastic jars so the Sugar becomes Coffee, or the Whitener becomes Chocolate or whatever suits you. That's why this unit has a lock on the lid to stop unauthorised access ! Lol...😂😂
Hahaha Tim it sound like you used to have a lot of fun with that style coffee bar at work hey?? :-) So many cool old retro things in this place! Cheers for watching :-)
Very good video... So sad that all that stuff left, I mean... You see they were packing, but all of a sudden it was stopped.. I was thinking that it was a musical studio, but to my toys that are not musical... Maybe the son had something to do with that.
it is hard to arrive at a picture of the occupant from the remainder of a life, like looking into a mirror with no reflection, did seem like an old entertainer, retired or defunct. has the feel of a life that ended. Very sad vibe there. The house seems ready to collapse from the termites.
Hi Gary, yes have tried to find out if he has passed away but cannot confirm that yet possibly retired and this property condemned maybe. Thanks for watching :-)
I think the owner is a mother and have one son who was her live. She kept all his stuffs that include the toys. The picture seen and written on it " me and mom" can confirm this conclusion. Also, she appears to be working as a teacher that teaches acting class. And, she once was involved in a filming or radio industry in her live. But, May be the filming and music industry things were for her husband because I think she was a teacher. I felt the house era is 80 and 90s. But some areas and of course some items were older than that such as the bathroom; the toilet look pretty old, like in the 60s. The son probably was unable to renovate or maintain the house, that why he didn't do anything, because the house was already falling apart. If my assumption is right, the son was unmarried and now if he is still a live, he is probably in his 80s. I think once a person reaches 60, and especially for the ppl who is and are alone for some reason, he or she should do something about uncluttered their surroundings, and they should keep will to state what should be done after their death.
I know exactly who's house this was, he was in a Christian band and various performances. That film/act And The Big Men Fly was about footy and funnily enough a fictional team (at the time) called the Crows

Hi Prue, yes those old swings are a classic :-) Sometimes wish i could save all these things Prue but they are not mine.....thanks for watching :-)
Do you close doors & windows when you leave the house if they were open prior to you making entry? This would help preserve the contents and the inside of the house as it is.
It can also trap animals or prevent them from returning to their young. It's usually better to leave things as you find them.
What a find, that fridge is ancient, great tour.be safe.
Glad you enjoyed Shirley, thanks for watching :-)
Thanks for the tour, Paul.
Great house, oddly the power is still going.
It sure is thevacdude but the fuses were removed.......maybe the squatter hides the fuses til they get back there or used to get back there at night so no one else sets up camp haha. Cheers for watching :-)
Very interesting location you have visited! All that stuff leave behind. Cool video 🔥👍
Glad you enjoyed Jonathan :-) Lots of things to look at here for sure , thanks for watching :-)
Awsome video...I'm a proud collector of 1970s to 90s tabloids and magazines, and memorbilia
check out Curiosity Incorporated--Alex Archbold from Edmonton, Canada-- he has lots of interesting stuff that would probably be right up your alley!!
Fascinating. When you open cupboards and suitcases I keep waiting for a mouse to jump out. That radiogram was very very expensive when new. Well they were here in NZ. My dad brought one in the early 50's. Thanks for the tour.
Hi Joan :-) The radiogram was indeed a highlight, the guy really did enjoy his audio and film stuff by the look. Thanks for watching :-)
Seems like a bigger house but the insect damage always worse that what you can see. I don't think it's saveable. Good video. Thanks, Paul
Hi randi, yes the termites have been chomping away for sure. Prob a good reason no one has been back also. :-)
I've got a vibe that the owner worked in media (television), the pro video tapes, 1" tapes, records, 26mm film cans, VCRs, even a Channel 7 model chopper? Must preserve some of this stuff!!!
I like your shoes!! Great explore! I like your filming, and your accent makes it extra intriguing xo💚🤘
What a great find video tour. I love your attention to detail. So much stuff and I also think there were children living here. Maybe It could have been used as a children’s foster home.
Hi S Larson :-) Glad you enjoyed the tour as yes there is a lot to snoop at in this place :-) Thanks for watching :-)
Hi mate, just found your channel and subscribed, because it's an Aussie one. Lot's of British and American abandoned explorer channels, been looking for Aussie ones. Great video.
Hi mate, really creepy explore, fascinating place but really weird. Thank you for sharing it with us. Take care, cheers👍😁
Hi Brenden, thanks for watching again mate:-) Yes this one had it all along with some creep factor! Glad you enjoyed :-)
My father had an old record stereo player similar to the Astor. You lift up the cover just like that. Well it is interesting to see what was left behind and why they left.
I bet that record player still works great too Sally :-) Yes lots to see in this one, thanks for watching :-)
Awesome.
I knew you would love this one mate! :-) I could have made an hour long video in here easily! Cheers for watching :-)
What an awesome place to investigate! Thanks for the tour!
Definitely was Native Grammy :-) Thanks for watching :-)
Hi Wendy :-) Yes a good one to try piece together along with some cool things to snoop at. Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching :-)
'What a waste' exactly! I liked the bathroom tiles.
There was a very rare woodville football club stuffed teddy. Had the SANFL badge on the front
Lots of old gems in there of all sort it seems too. Cheers for watching :-)
Also a central districts plush toy too. Awesome.
UUU Dogs
For a random find that was great so much toys but I like that old stereo/radio unit , I'll bet it sounds great ☮❤
One of your better explores mate. At least it hasn't been knocked down (yet)
Cheers mate, yes but with the termites having had a fair go at this one maybe it will in the future , cheers for watching :-)
good to see you do not give locations out, would hate to see what would happen to the stuff in there by looters
Yeah I would hate to see that happen also Mate. I have to be careful what the video shows too sometimes for those reason. Thanks for watching :-)
Omw Paul, the minute you looked through the window I got the cold shivers. Even as I am typing this I feel very uncomfortable. Very creepy feeling.
In its prime that was a very nice house except the pink and green bathroom. Thats Ernie. Bert and Ernie were named after the policeman and his friend in the classic Christmas movie, Its A Wonderful Life.
Cheers for the info Marybeth! :-) And for watching
Yeah and if you put Bert and Ernie together you get Bernie (as in Sanders, i.e. where's Bernie)? Lol😀
Yep, Ernie.
Hi. another great find & some cool stuff left behind.
Would love to check out the old Film cases .
I have never seen anything like that radio! That was unique!
I have heard organ music coming from the tower of the Simmons Mansion on three seperate occasions.
Some times that music creeps me out! Another cool video!
The music from the merry go round was a bit creepy Mari? Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 just that little bit at the begining, sounds like piano! Love watching you videos!!
@@urbexindigo5164 Good, I'm glad it was useful and you found out a bit more. Looking forward to the next one. 😀
Now I know who it is.
Loved this one, very interesting. Thankyou 😀
Glad you enjoyed Janelle :-)
That was fun...well except for you almost falling through the dodgy floor. Nice place though with 2 of my favorite things...retro and a nice kitchen.
Glad you enjoyed it Kate :-) Thanks for the support :-)
OMG!! What a golden feast for the eyes!!
H.B.Bear, Beta video cassette recorder ( bought that very model on high purchase using the manual Bankcard "click click" machine when I was 15yrs)
Woodville Peckers plush toy!! Bulldogs plush 80's toy. Some should checkout those VHS ●Street Kids and Various Welfare Subjects● tapes 😐 Great find👍
THE Puzzle says it all.
GREAT explore- thanks!!!
Love the old style fridge
Me too Vanda! Classic indeed :-)
He's got a Betamax AND a VHS, this guy must have been highfalutin in the 80s!
Haha yep he sure was mate! Thanks for watching :-)
That or something more sinister
Looks like a really fun Horder lived there.
I really enjoyed watching this, Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it Rhonda :-) Thanks for watching
That house looks creepy , there were very old things that were never been touched that old school channel 7 helicopter looked cool , that house will eventually fall apart if there are white ants eating that house , Paul great search on that house
Hi Simon :-) Yes if the the termite keep eating they will not need to check on this place! lol So many cool old things left.....thanks for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 your welcome
Some of those toys like the Humphrey are rare toys
They are in very good condition too Summer Dayz, thanks for watching :-)
That record player is so awesome. As I’m sure you’ll hear this plenty but such a shame
What the creepy stuff that goes on today who knows what they use that place for with all those toys wigs costumes you can only take a guess
I got the same feeling right at the beginning.
My grandparents had a stereo just like that. Radio on one side and the record player on the other.
Nice find, it's termites!!!! Stay safe 💖
Interesting find.
Cheers for watching Christine :-)
I love that bird of paradise outside
I never knew that was what it was Patricia! :-)
That opening....ooo this is going to be cool!
I'm guessing a "wha***r" is something bad...
Haha Whacker just means a bit of a silly idiot here. :-)
Wow a 5KA sticker! Now thats old.
Very good video... So sad that all that stuff left, I mean... You see they were packing, but all of a sudden it was stopped.. I was thinking that it was a musical studio, but to my toys that are not musical... Maybe the son had something to do with that.
All the fuses have been pulled from the fuse board
Yep! I guess maybe someone realized a squatter was using some power at one point :-) Seems to have been just forgotten about this place.....
In EVERY abandoned house you'll find at LEAST one Christmas decoration! Without fail! 😅👍💌
Wow all that left behind. Makes you wonder what happened.
it is hard to arrive at a picture of the occupant from the remainder of a life, like looking into a mirror with no reflection, did seem like an old entertainer, retired or defunct. has the feel of a life that ended. Very sad vibe there. The house seems ready to collapse from the termites.
Hi Gary, yes have tried to find out if he has passed away but cannot confirm that yet possibly retired and this property condemned maybe. Thanks for watching :-)
Nice find. Wonder what that time clock will switch on.
Cool stuff left behind.
Had that swing growing up!!!
Haha cool old stuff at this place for sure Kathie :-) Thanks for watching
That was the biggest bird of paradise plant I have ever seen! They grow them big in Australia.
I did not even know what it was haha. Thanks for letting me know :-)
@Jack Russell 😎 cool. We had one in California but it was only 18 inches tall. But majestic, nonetheless.
Definitely 1950's. Tell by the Formica kitchen.
It may have been a foster house for kids short term or long which would explain all the toys
old short wave radio with record player common around mid 60's to mid 70's
Really cool old piece of Kit , I bet is still works nice. :-)
