All colour models of the Yamaha FZ-S Fi now come fitted with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X bluetooth module. As a result, the prices of the bike have gone up. The last update the bike received was a new colour variant called the Vintage Edition. This new variant arrives in a British Racing Green colour with a tan single-piece seat. It gets the same set of features as the Darknight trim.
Yamaha FZS-FI V3 Specifications
The 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor remains unchanged. It makes 13.2PS of power at 8000rpm and 12.8Nm of torque at 6000rpm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. However, Yamaha says the engine is now tuned for better low-end performance. The same goes for the bike's underpinnings. The FZS-Fi retains its telescopic fork and monoshock setup. Anchoring the bike is a 282mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Tyre dimensions remain unchanged as well - a 100/80-section type up front and a 140/60-section tyre at the rear.
Yamaha FZS-FI V3 Design
From a design standpoint, the FZS-Fi features an all-new LED headlamp reminiscent of the M-Slaz sold in South East Asian markets. It's also beefier compared to the previous iteration and gets new tank extensions. The 'S' variant comes with a new belly pan too. Other notable changes include a negative LCD instrument console, a taller handlebar (up by 22mm) and a single-piece seat instead of the split unit seen on the previous bike.
Yamaha FZS-FI V3 Features
In terms of features, the FZS-Fi comes with single-channel ABS as standard and chunky tyres. The bikes negative LCD instrument console displays information like fuel gauge, odometer, two trip metres, F trip and a clock amongst others. There’s also an ECO indicator which guides riders with throttle modulation to help extract more fuel-efficiency from the engine.
Yamaha FZS-FI V3 Competitors
The FZS-Fi competes against the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R.and the Honda XBlade, all three of which feature a larger 160cc engine with more power to play with. The Suzuki Gixxer employs a 155cc engine but feels a lot livelier than the FZ.

The third-generation Yamaha FZ-FI and FZS-FI come with cleaner BS6-compliant motors and new colour options: Darknight and Metallic Red. The motorcycle continues to get muscular bodywork and now has a new LED headlamp similar to the FZ-25. The 'S' variant gets chrome intake vents on the fuel tank and an engine cowl. Yamaha has switched back to a single seat setup with the third generation FZ-FI. The keyfob position has been move to the fuel tank instead of the handlebar and the revised digital instrument console is more comprehensive now.
In terms of ergonomics, the handlebar now sits 22mm taller and leans in towards the rider for better reach. So now you have a more upright seating position. The subframe is flatter as well to accommodate the one-piece seat. Even the rear grab rail is a single piece unit now.
Its updated BS6 149cc fuel-injected motor now makes 12.4PS at 7250rpm and 13.6Nm at 5500rpm. COmpared to the BS4 version, power has dropped by 0.8PS while torque has improved by 0.8Nm. Both peak power and torque now come at a lower rpm than before. The new engine update should make the new FZS-FI friendlier in the city.
The Yamaha FZ-S V3 mainly competes against the TVS Apache 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar 160NS and the upcoming Hero Xtreme 160R. In its price bracket, it also goes up against the Apache RTR 180 and Pulsar 180F.

আমার FZS V3 BS4 আছে, গিয়ারে ফেলে হালকা ক্লাচ ছেড়ে হালকা rpm বারি দিলে আগে সুন্দরভাবেই টান উঠতো, but এখন বন্ধ হয়ে যেতে চায় মাঝে মাঝে বন্ধ হয়ে যায়
