First of all, big thumbs up Tomley! Honestly, a really great video that was thoroughly fun to watch, and educational. We did an unboxing recently with ours, and just ran it for the first time and Abby and I were both honestly impressed with the Hoonigan. I had no issues with our stock batteries, which is what we ran it on, but it turned out to be a few miles an hour slower than your results. Assuming the extra C rating got you those extra mph! It's an extremely fun RC, isn't it?! While our video is producing, I wanted to hear a second opinion from someone that actually knows their stuff, which is why I turned to your video of it. I'm very pleased that we feel the same about this car! Keep up the extremely great work!

I've also run it on some crazy 15,000 mah Gensace lipos... with no issues, and more recently got over 70mph on some 5500mah 140c Lipos! I loved it so much I bought the roller haha. I went for a rolling chassis this morning - a bargain, couldn't leave it there for £185! So thanks a million for helping me spend wonga! My resistance to not buying anymore RC's is pathetic, infact it's gone altogether haha.. Not sure when the roller will arrive?? It's from a seller through Ali Express, so could be months... Anyhow, as for the electronics I've gone for a 4082 2200kv motor and Hobbywing WP8BL150. Will find a decent servo too. Have you found you've had to nip up the servo saver at all while you've been using it? I think I said this in another video of yours, but I love the sound of it as it flies by... thanks for the vid!

HPI 1/10 RTR Hoonicorn runs a whooping 17 MPH on the stock 15T brushed ‘Fire(something)’ motor. May not be fast, but it doesn’t have a bent looking body. A raised body brace at the firewall area will do wonders for that body, and still have the rear squat of the 1:1 car. Just a thought. I want one for sure, it looks huge.
You can adjust the brake bias and strength on those brakes. I wouldn’t remove them, I’d adjust more to the rear and less to the front if you want the handbrake effect
Looks like you got alot better grip than RC Kiwis, their runs are very slippery compared to your rides, maybe they got crappy asphalt in HongKong ? or did ZD change tires ?= great video tomley

Everyone is scared to review this thing it seems. Good to see one. If it was cheap clone priced, it would definitely be tempting. But it would make way more since to get an arrma for basically the same amount of money. What gps do you use, btw?
That Surpass ESC is great, I ran 6s in my TC8, 2 3000mh ovnics 3s, motor 4076 2000kv, 20T pinion, and for tires I used Redcat Teramoto V2 wheels and tires. I hit 51mph.
Runs & looks fantastic 👌 every since my Traxxas XO1 hit a guardrail at 118mph & disassembled 5hours after I bought it, being the fastest way I've ever pissed away 1.k down the drain, I rather see someone else run theirs LOL . awesome car Cheers 🍻👍💯🔥🔥
Mine should be here any day now, but I don't think I'll speak as highly of the brand as you do. The car does look good, but some obvious corners have been cut and the ironic thing is, the roller is now dearer than the Limitless here in Australia, so I'm not sure anyone in their right mind would buy this over the ARRMA. With all that said, it does look good and I'm actually impressed with the breaks on that thing. Very cool. Great video, as usual, well done. 👍🙂
I’ve had about 6 or 7 ZD’s I think, and the apart from a couple of duds, they have been ok for me. Apart from the the usual setting up etc... which to be honest is the same on bigger brands. Time will tell with this, but the hardware looks pretty good. Look forward to seeing your take on it. I have a roller coming, so will through a decent set up in and see how it copes
According to the link it would be $430us plus shipping for the roller I see limitless for sale for $399us. There a bit more here as well the rtr is still a little cheaper

As far as pricing goes, everone says just buy the ARRMA, basically same price etc. In Australia though you are paying at least $1100 for the Felony rtr vs vs ordering one of these in rtr form for a little over $800 plus shipping. So, if you go rtr, you save over $200 getting the zd. Makes the decision a bit harder.

The Barra motors, don't know if you would have heard of them, are awesome.
It's 100 bucks cheaper than the felony, it comes with batteries already (if you were to buy batteries on a felony you'd be over 1000 anyways) and it comes with a disk brake too and a cooler body! What more could you want?
Depends, are the two included lipo's free or are they included in the price. If the two cheap lipos are part of the price then no, its not a better value... Most if not all the people who will buy this will have their own lipos or many of which will buy better ones after a few runs with the included lipo's. Again not a better value when you can just buy the Felony which is a better car and better electronics which prob will be of a higher quality to make up for that $100 price plus going straight to buying two good lipo's saving you time and a possible fire.
At this price point it's surprising people would even consider saving 100 dollars for a car which will have limited parts availability and probably 0 to 0.1% chance of actual competent after sales services...strange stuff, I guess everyone loves a bargain...until they need parts or support...

It's nice nice looking car that came out with. I'm not quite sure what's going on in the UK but over here in the states they've been running a servo and brakes on the center diff race buggies over here that are electric. It's supposed to help keep the motor cool so it's not trying to break as well as propel the car you know what I mean. Instead of using the motor for a break they put a mechanical break in

I wonder if you put a castle creations mamba X , a 1717 2400 kv big motor , put a decent savox servo and some GRP tires , 2 X3S 6500 100 C bateries and turn it into a real fast car will the front , center and back diferentials hold ? Did you open the diffs and see if they are strong enough ?
That’s only a roller, you still need to buy the battery transmitter and charger for the infarction which almost adds up to $800-900. This is only $630 with the coupon with everything included

Yeah Banggood need to sort there website out yet again re no shipping to the UK, this has happened before on a number of cars they sell. For example JLB Cheetah rtr trucks dosn't even come up now, only JLB spare parts come up now. I'm not even sure Banggood know there is this problem.

The rc kiwi's had their one flip as the front end caught air. But I can not remember if the body shell had the same issue as that one. Could you use a heat gun to reshape the shell slightly and carefully make it bend into the correct shape? Maybe it will do the 130kmh on 8s or just burst into flames instead. Nice looking car and I never bother with the all the stickers/transfers as it will just look like every other one out there. Maybe wheels that are a little bigger in size as I just got a set of wheels for a FEIYUE part number 12056 and put them on my 124019 and it went just over 10kmh faster like the FY08's wheels do for it. the 12059 wheels did only 3kmh faster but they are a little heavier but great ground clearance for going across grassy surfaces.

RC Kiwi’s done a review , the ESC caught fire. It’s a bit bigger than the felony there RTR was Slower . The flashing headlights are a nice touch though . It’s just about spares if they discontinue it your screwed .
I bought the zd TC8 and I like it a lot but, the metals used are very week, my center diff output cups and rear and front input cups are getting a huge "notch"? We will see how long before something breaks. I've only drove it 3 or 4 times.
This thing needs a max 6 combo with the 1100kv motor. What's the like $450 plus the $270 for the HW combo, $50 for a servo $50 for a reciever and it looks like it will probably need a set of 4 gold felony rear tires. That's another $100. Think you can set the brake for muscle car burn outs or drifting that's probably one of the best features. So how much $ let's add it up $920. Pricey, but 8s ripper.
Was getting this till I saw the Felony. Just got it and man what a beast. This looks fucking epic as well. I think if you change the electronics this is a top contender to Arrma! It’s a monster in it’s own. The only problem I’m facing now is finding a spot to drive lol. Great video brother ✌️

Nice review . Did order one from Banggood and waiting for it to arrive . And it will be interesting to see how it it preforms compared to my modded Infraction . But one of the first things I will do is to upgrade my EX07 when I get my hands on it , and that stock ESC will be the first thing that will be swapped . . . :O) .

Looks awesome but the motor looks a little small for a 1/7th sale car. I'm really surprised it hit 66mph without so much as a gear change. Just don't know if I could pay arrma money for it. Maybe they'll sell thr bodies.

thats a beast but i think the body is lifted at the front cuz in real life the rear end sqauts down due to power and front lifts up a bit so could be that anyway love your content best ytber :)
Nice looking car, nice and fast but I had a 150amp surpass esc in my exb for some stupid reason and on the first run 4s it want pop and caught fire so don't trust and replace with a max 8 for sure buddy
Usually most cars don't get close to their advertised speed until it's changed to the high speed gearing. Did this not come with faster (bigger,)pinion gear ?

the roller version is cheaper because u dont get any electric parts in it, the car itself is the same on the roller or rtr version

How comes you don't seem to have a problem getting things from banggood into the UK. Including the car in this video I can't get it shipped to me into the UK, Scotland.
Can you advise me on anything to change that. I also have problem with other little things like 1/12 cars and lipos from banggood.

The rc kiwi's had their one flip as the front end caught air. But I can not remember if the body shell had the same issue as that one. Could you use a heat gun to reshape the shell slightly and carefully make it bend into the correct shape? Maybe it will do the 130kmh on 8s or just burst into flames instead. Nice looking car and I never bother with the all the stickers/transfers as it will just look like every other one out there. Maybe wheels that are a little bigger in size as I just got a set of wheels for a FEIYUE part number 12056 and put them on my 124019 and it went just over 10kmh faster like the FY08's wheels do for it. the 12059 wheels did only 3kmh faster but they are a little heavier but great ground clearance for going across grassy surfaces.

Phil im thinking since they advertise it as 8s capable they mean 130kmh or 80mph on 8s, which sounds about right

RC Kiwi’s done a review , the ESC caught fire.
It’s a bit bigger than the felony there RTR was Slower . The flashing headlights are a nice touch though . It’s just about spares if they discontinue it your screwed .

I bought the zd TC8 and I like it a lot but, the metals used are very week, my center diff output cups and rear and front input cups are getting a huge "notch"? We will see how long before something breaks. I've only drove it 3 or 4 times.

Looks like a cheaper (and less reliable?) version of the Felony. In any case it's the best looking RC car I know of.

This thing needs a max 6 combo with the 1100kv motor. What's the like $450 plus the $270 for the HW combo, $50 for a servo $50 for a reciever and it looks like it will probably need a set of 4 gold felony rear tires. That's another $100. Think you can set the brake for muscle car burn outs or drifting that's probably one of the best features. So how much $ let's add it up

Was getting this till I saw the Felony. Just got it and man what a beast. This looks fucking epic as well. I think if you change the electronics this is a top contender to Arrma! It’s a monster in it’s own. The only problem I’m facing now is finding a spot to drive lol. Great video brother ✌️

450$ For A roller?????... Damn that's very expensive considering the fact that you can get A arrma limitless roller for 400$... and even rtr it's more expensive then buying electronics for the arrma limitless that will have far better quality stuff..
Nice review . Did order one from Banggood and waiting for it to arrive . And it will be interesting to see how it it preforms compared to my modded Infraction . But one of the first things I will do is to upgrade my EX07 when I get my hands on it , and that stock ESC will be the first thing that will be swapped . . . :O) .

If this was closer priced to their other knockoffs it would be worth it(for me). To much $$ for the quality. BUT, you should do a vid on the electronics, let's see you burn up that ESC!! See what it can and can't take. Ya know you're gonna upgrade, so let's eff it up proper!! I don't think I'd buy this even in the roller version, again that damn price. Looks awesome but the motor looks a little small for a 1/7th sale car. I'm really surprised it hit 66mph without so much as a gear change. Just don't know if I could pay arrma money for it. Maybe they'll sell thr bodies.

I've heard about the battery's no charging evenly from another rc channel. Definitely needs proper and better quality battery's than what is supplied.

thats a beast but i think the body is lifted at the front cuz in real life the rear end sqauts down due to power and front lifts up a bit so could be that anyway love your content best ytber :)

Nice looking car, nice and fast but I had a 150amp surpass esc in my exb for some stupid reason and on the first run 4s it want pop and caught fire so don't trust and replace with a max 8 for sure buddy
I’ve run my 150a one off road with high gearing... 60mph 1/8 Buggy, still going strong!
Usually most cars don't get close to their advertised speed until it's changed to the high speed gearing. Did this not come with faster (bigger,)pinion gear ?
No, but I got over 70 on a different set of Lipos. 👌

I run the 120 surpass on 4s and it does damn good..Most guys that burned them up used 6s in heavy rigs geared up or did a dodgy solder job on them lol
I’ve not had one burnout on me yet... going to throw some big capacity Lipos on this and give it a bit of a durability test
