I think that was fair judgement, I mean all she did was drive the car. The girl just got scared and agreed to pay for something she didn't damage. The judge is right, first you must be guilty then comes your punishment either in payment or jail time.

Here's the thing the plaintiff failed to understand your car already had issues. Car engine was going to blow or be replaced whether she drove it or not. Either way you were going to be behind the wheel at some point after the club. That being said you were going to be out of a car. It just so happened when your friend got behind the wheel. You are still responsible because the damage was done prior to her being behind the wheel. She tried it. And a respectable mechanic would of told her that.

because the facts about if she shouldve agreed or not was on the table. The vehicle owner was trying to get over and receive money for something that was out of the other parties hand. Also how could she manage to get 3 people into the car by herself? i believe everyone got into the car willingly and blacked out as the girl was driving. plus this situation happened 2 years ago, why are you just now in court. The car owner most likely needs money and thought this was a easy way.

You ain’t fair judge Mathis. She agree to pay, you should have let her stand a half.
    Split it in the middle.
My grandma always said old bring new. Never agree to anything when you are mad. And never say anything you might regret.

I disagree on this one. She did not give the other girl permission to drive her car. Whether it had a preexisting issue or not, she drove her car without permission. That's essentially stealing.

This was not a fair judgements They Both agreed to go half on a cab then she goes and takes her car without permission and the car was damage with her behind the wheel, also she agreed to paying back. Why agree to pay (2 years later ) if you know you didn’t cause any demages ? Judgement should’ve been for the plaintiff.

People settle way too young. But some people become too picky. I know this girl in her 30s that is determined to find the perfect man. No one is good enough.
Reality is that there is no perfect person.
My advice is not to settle but look for the perfect person for you.

I think the defendant is just a nice girl who doesn’t like confrontation, otherwise she would’ve bluntly told the plaintiff that she didn’t feel responsible. I’m glad the judge did it for her though.
