I am glad your channel popped up! I love the detailed breakdown on MILS plates and I cannot wait to see how your city evovles. I am still in the process of collecting modulars and hopefully some day I can turn them into a small city setting.
Thanks, I am doing, just taking it in stages and trying to show some begineers how to do things. I am also waiting for some parts from Lego which seem to be taking a while haha 😄
I've watched plenty of videos about the pros of MILS and i still can't convince myself to use them. I live in a country where there are no Lego stores and i will have to pay premium to get them to me, even Alt bricks like Webricks would cost a lot, + i have 4 modulars (Assembly, police station, Boutique hotel, Jazz Club) and i like displaying them one next to the other (like the marketing photos from Lego), i have no roads but have some GWP vehicles. So still can't bite that bullet. ALTHOUGH, i have 6 Winter village sets and i want to build a Christmas village, maybe white baseplates would do there, or no base at all, MILS is good for winter villages to make ponds. Anyway, just sharing my thoughts, this is quite confusing hahaha
Yer,it is confusing, they are good for building the city and roads and terrain.landscaping etc, if just displaying maybe not. Have a good with the winter village. 👍
I just discovered from another TH-cam channel chipper cheaper way to make MILS plates using one by two and one by two technic connectors and the bigger plates to cover your MILS plates instead of the smaller ones that’s a whole lot cheaper and saves more time
Yer, there are lots of ways. The MILS plate I did was for begineers for the easiest way to do one. Best place for pieces is the Pick A Brick stalls in store or from bulk purchases. 👍
@@MillBrick_City hahaha oh I will 😁 I'm excited to see where it goes, but yes I'll eventually get there haha, I'm 21 and still living at my parents, so there just isn't room, but I already have those old regular Lego road plates and a few building sets that I had a small town a while back, so once I can move out and have space, I want to set it back up haha
I thank you done a great job I'm working on my on Lego city my sets I us that same Lego city road plates for parts of my Lego city to Iv bought Lego city sets that have road parts with them to
Hi Brick Lender, i have a BIG problem with the MILS system, roads are not shiny. To me it looks really weird and the reflection makes the look of the city very busy and almost messy. Does anyone else feel like this?
@@MillBrick_City Thanks for the tip, i have now. Custom roads are a bit out of my budget tho. In my first lego city i used thick colored paper sheets to make the road with and green for grass. This actually worked pretty well, very shapable, extremely cheap and it has the texture of a road.

I am sure you will, what modulars have you collected so far? Thanks for the subscribe by the way. I have a video on modulars coming up soon. 👍
You'll need to MILS up the roads too!
