Should I equip contact dunks if I do not use the dunking meter. I feel like I get taken out of dunks more in the park and theater when they are equipped? What is your opinion? Am I tripping?
Is it good to equip a bundle of dunks like all standing for example?

***Tips guys when you have one of your builds already made before making a new one just go into the dunk animations and see the requirements write it down so you know when your building your next character what you have to put your points on to get specific animations, but for me if I could do one dunk consistently that’s a better choice than having like 5 different ones that may not always go in or turn into a layup

I would be cool with 6’8/6’9 standing contacts if they made them with super high vertical to get the package. Kinda like the small contacts are for 6’4s
That I can get down with. As long as it makes you sacrifice with the vertical. I like that you have to make sacrifices to get certain things.
best input for standing dunks? example; up then hold down, down then hold up, down then hold down, or up then hold up? Or any of the 4 inputs are valid for standing dunk animations/green windows? thanks.

Do you know if the contact packages have any overlapping animations? I've gotten that smalls contact dunk at 9:32 on my 6'6 a bunch of times and only have Pro Contacts Off Two.
I know Slashing Takeover gives you contact animations, but I didn't think they also give you the contact animations for different heights. If they do though, I imagine that's why my 6'6 has done that animation.

Timing (most importantly)
Yes take over like sharp shooting will give you better animations and adds to your attributes capabilities

I think standing contacts would be OP at smaller sizes for the simple reason that certain stats cost less at lower/taller heights. Unless that changes 90 standing is too cheap for smaller builds.

i do think its worth mentioning that some dunk packages are better in different situations i feel like this video is mainly about dunking as the ball handler but if youre coming of cuts and catching the ball close to the basket many of the 1 foot packages cant even trigger close to the basket

if you have a high dunk rating...do you try to get all top 10 dunks...or keep like 2-3 off the best dunk base on your highest dunk rating?

Depends what you wann see use all 15 to get a full arsenal of dunks or just 4 for more consistency certain packages trigger con
tacts, less dunks will give you more consistency in that dunk animation
afaik laker generally goes for the least amount of packages possible, each package for a specific purpose
Agreed with contact standing dunks being available only to 6’10 and above, makes 0 sense, if you allow 6’8 etc to get 90+ standing dunks, why not allow them contact animations too? Still costs a lot of attributes and you have to compromise as much as with other builds.
Can I still contact dunk if I dont have the contact animation? Got 90 standing dunk on a 6'7. Contact is 6'10 up only.

Yeah I have a 6'1" slasher with HoF blowby and speed booster that goes crazy with dunks.
Are the 360s worth equipping? And are basicslly most two foot dunks not worrh it?
If you always get open fast breaks yes but every other dunk more consistent probably

As a big, I’m glad the standing contacts are limited to 6’10+ only. Otherwise, I need all animations released from a height cap.

Between having 94 driving dunk/85 standing and 93 driving dunk/90 standing, which would you prefer or think is ideal? Trying to see if I should rebuild or keep it as it is with my 6'10". Thanks!

I have cool dunk packages and really good ones but I always get kinda basic dunks like not anything crazy
Laker, if u had 89 driving dunk, would you equip only the 1 foot contact dunk, and skip the 2 foot? Or equip both?

Both more animations you will do instead of getting stopped if I hade elites and pros and took off pros I'ma get stopped more where I shld do a pro contact off 1 or 2

If you notice (or followed laker last year), he usually only runs nba player packages that have stand dunk anis..then for the drive dunks, he puts on just a cpl of them that are consistent for the dunk meter. The nba packages are kinda all over the place when trying to time the meter. But if you’re just mashing square or whatever, a lot of those packages are a lot of fun.

Recently made a small slasher. 6'4", 94 D.Dunk. Those Small Contacts do go crazy

I use the side clutches, Westbrook and bron the most on my 94 dunk, tapping in to this for more 💯
Westbrook has a dunk that’s soo easily blockable
If you can equip the elites pros and small at once he will be more efficient at going for contacts

Personally I would at least get that package, but it's not necessary. You can still get contact dunks in-game if you have Slashing/Mamba Takeover active as long as your Driving Dunk goes above the minimum requirement for a package (I believe), meaning you can get a Pro Contact Off Two animation if your Driving Dunk is 77 because Takeover is +10.
Best dunks for a 7 3 center?
I think the small contacts are better than the pros personally.
Uber athletic and cockback tomahawks off one give me more elite off one hand contact dunks.
How to unlock the jordan dunk package ?
It’s easy if their under 6’10 to get those standing contacts it should be a weight requirement and starts at SF and Up.

My favorite signature will always be Bron’s. Love throwing tomahawks, in 23 tomahawks were fucking insane.
The pro contacts off 2 I don’t run in part bc of watching you..but I’m realizing it’s for different reasons. I’ve found it usually puts me in the animation where you like slowly walk over your defender after the dunk and I can’t get out of it faster than the defender..so I’m late defending, and it turns into a 3 on the other end at a high clip. For that alone, I refuse to use it. Does anyone know if you can cancel that post dunk animation??
@lakerfan please see this..do you know the animation sequence I’m taking about? I mean, I know you don’t run pro contacts off 2 anymore either..but if there’s a way to get out of that animation after the dunk, I would rethink putting it on

Well, hoping anyway..the dunk itself is kinda nasty..just not fair that they get back 3 on 2 on you every time. Almost seems like animations like this, shouldn’t even be in the game. At least if I have on the rock a baby Westbrook ani set after dunks, I can still r2 sprint out of it when needed. Shitty on 2k to have “one of the best dunk packages you can put on” have a fucked up animation..that’s poor game plan on any level of comprehension. Like I said, I refuse to run it..and it makes me sad
Is it better to only have a select few dunks like the best ones? I literally bought all the dunks and have them equipped. Didnt know if having that many dunks if that's hurting from getting the better animation dunks
I'd like to know this too, i have a ton of equipped dunks but hoping Duke of the better ones aren't being activated because worse ones pop instead.

It might be the tendency of the game equip one pack and play my career nba game so he do all the animations and have a tendency to actually pull out the rarest animation of that dunk pack juss buying a full arsenal and equipping won't make the dunks consistent or rare im strictly guessing that part of why you won't see all 15 dunks in a manner that's ideal. only equipping 3-4 dunks seem more reliable because multiple dunks some will always get overwritten w a driving dunk or contact you frequently get off instead of seeing a flashy or rare dunk you do that same off 1 or 2 basically Uber off 1 will override a lot of dunks I'll never see the Uber off 2 only if I used juss those 2 packs
You have a great point with the under 6’10” standing contact dunks. Even from 2ks perspective they should allow it because it would allow a ton of different builds to be created.

They have stand dunk anis..I’m also pretty sure there’s an ani or 2 in brons package laker doesn’t like due to meter. So if you notice, he runs Uber tommys for the same bron op anis, but doesn’t have to worry ab the ones that are hard to time on brons package

I understand he said that he went through this quickly I'm not here to throw any shade. I like Laker fan I think he's a good content creator better than most. However the list would have been better if driving dunk top 10, standing dunk top 10, and contact on top 10. For guards we don't fit into standing dunk categories at all so it really wasn't that beneficial. I'm just saying there needed to be more variety of done choices. For all builds by splitting up driving dunk and standing dunk that would have done it from guards to big men.

@@hereweare- I had my badges done so I threw on a gold floor setter on my precision dunker and got into rec. kept trying it off of the dropstep and eventually I burned it into my head to the point where I can hit it over all 5 players. it’s all about getting to your spot and getting your back on your man back them to the edge of the charge circle, dropstep, let go of the post trigger hold turbo and go for it if you’re square to the rim

Lebron is so bad imo. Took that trash off. Idk why but when you go for meter dunk Which isnt a contact one it triggers some side tomahawk stylish dunk which gets chase down blocked like 4 outta 10 times. Lebron only works for square/stick dunking for me.
