Please don't hate me, but I prefer the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version. The moving cars aren't much of a change in Mario Kart Tour, as they still act as walls.
@@ego-lay_atman-bay They didn't have more time. • The Mario Kart Tour version's appearance is based on the pre-release version of Coconut Mall from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's trailers, screenshots (apart from one) and Grand Prix results screen. • The moving cars for the course were already fully working in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's files, so the parked cars were simply a design choice (fittingly for the parking area where they are located). • The moving cars in Mario Kart Tour's version don't act much different from the parked ones in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version, acting as walls. • The moving cars are actually parked in the R version of the course, but out of the way and they have invisible walls around them. The cars are absent in the T version due to the beach section replacing the parking area. • The Mario Kart Tour version was already most likely finished before it was added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as the icon of the course was already leaked by Nintendo in the wave 1 reveal trailer. • This is the same case for Shroom Ridge, and an icon for the R/T version for that course was also leaked in a banner from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's files, containing Mushroom Trampolines. I personally prefer the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version, but you're entitled to your own opinion. Hopefully you're not one of the toxic Mario Kart Wii fans who doesn't except people with opposing opinions to them. One of them literally tried to outnumber me to make me feel bad about having a different opinion from most other people.
@@harrybest2041 that's a good point. I personally like the tour version better because I (don't hate me for this) love mario kart tour more than 8 deluxe. Part of that might have to do with the fact that mkt has more stuff that makes you want to keep playing. I honestly like how tours work. Ok, I may have gone off-topic, so I'll stop. One thing I like about the tour version is, you can actually cut the corners in the parking lot, which isn't possible in 8 dx, most likely because it's scaled down in tour.
@@ego-lay_atman-bay That's also the case for Paris Promenade in Mario Kart Tour, where there's a shortcut just before the Eiffel Tower in Paris Promenade 2R. This shortcut isn't possible in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe due to the raised up ground and the different layout in that area, being a variation of Paris Promenade 3's route with a branching path under the Eiffel Tower like in Paris Promenade 1.
I now have a discord server! discord.gg/femskNZYda
why is the Tour versions so much better than the 8DX version, the fact that they added the moving cars to Tour but not 8DX is the most baffling
I know, right? Then again, they actually had more time to do the tour version than 8dx.
