Non league Hereford win the game in extra time and Ronnies rocket is still spoken about half a century later. RIP Ronnie , you brought joy to people.

It's why I love the FA Cup. Teams get a rare chance to play against top opposition and sometimes an unknown becomes a hero like Ronnie Radford did here. It's great to see dreams come true. I went to a number of Lincoln games that season when they made the quarter finals as a non league side and beat Burnley away. Both Lincoln and Sutton played Arsenal that season. Players from both teams will never forget that and heroes were made like when Sean Raggett netted Lincolns winner at Burnley.

Look at the way the ball comes back and he's going to leave it for his own player, but then realizes he's not going to get it. He dives in the tackle fairly to win the ball off Tudor and plays a great one two. Great football even before the shot.

I was a kid back then saw that goal live on the telly. Malcolm McDonald big time charlie, England international thought he and Newcastle would just turn up and walk on that pitch but it was a quagmire and a great leveller. That performance and the goal lit up a typical English grey and miserable day. A non league team beating some seasoned professionals.
You only have to say the name 'Ronnie Radford' close your eyes and you see the ball going like a rocket into the Newcastle net. An iconic goal for sure. RIP Ronnie.
That was a beauty of a strike, in those conditions as well. I remember those green parkas, red lining with a fur trimmed hood. Snorkels were later, with an orange lining.
