Just wanna say, we def gonna keep watching cause we love OPM but in all honesty it’s disappointing what JC Staff has done so far so we call it like we see it. If you cant see the difference cool, if you can also cool. They took two years telling fans it was so they could keep the quality high, its not like they picked up the series last month. No excuse for all the slideshow still frames, quick cuts and off screen action imo 🤷🏽♂️

Im with you 100%, but...they still nailed the humour - so the animation quality isnt bothering me as much as i figured. thank god.

Nah bro we gonna keep watching. The comedy and those couple of really good scenes kept it goin. Im hopeful they will pick it up later animation wise with the Garou stuff which is really important to the series

The biggest problem with the animation is that people are comparing it to the previous animation. Season 1 had a dream team. The top animators wanted to work on it. But when it came to season 2 they really weren't available. It didn't even have anything to do with what company was doing the animation because they wouldn't have gotten the same animators.
Tbh there are alot of still frames even during fights but genos is too sick for me to be mad at his design, i think i already got used to him. Hope to see more of him honestly because saitama isn’t really flashy when he fights since he obliterates everything real quick or wins super fast.
@David2443454 You should also know that he is just trying to make a point.
Fubuki kind of has a "reign in he'll rather than she in heaven" kind of mentality that I like. Her sister was born with more power and that's all there is to it. Training isn't going to help her beat Tornado. And even though Fubuki is undoubtedly strong enough to be Class A, she would still be beneath Amai Mask. So she stays in Class B where she at least has influence over others.
Garou's scene went basically the same way in the Manga, it's not JC Staff's fault for following the manga panels as they were shown. Garou's attacks were all unseen in that scene in the manga too. It's kinda like a tease for what he'll be capable of in the episodes to come!
animation overall does a good transition over from the manga, but the action scenes are definitely lacking compared to the first season by Madhouse. more still images and scenes as opposed to flowing action
S1 wasn't just madhouse, the director called in a ton of favours from other animators and studios
Thats literally my only complaint, and its valid. They had 2 years so there’s no excuse for all the still frames and quick cuts/ off screen action
@@YaBoyRoshi the fact that they outright acknowledged the time gap between seasons in the first episode only makes the decrease in quality inexcusable. anime is supposed to bring a still medium to life, not treat the transition as a direct copy. the reason the first season itself was so good was the over the top fight scenes and moments throughout

The best comparison I can think of when it came to the action sequences is like John Wick fight scenes as Season 1, and the shaky-cam fights of any other modern action film for season 2. There's a lot of still frames and off focus action that "hides" and only "implies" the battle sequences as opposed to season 1's focus on the fluid motion of the fights.

The budget of the whole series is probably being put into the tournament and the crazy ass shit that happens with Garou and the other antagonist(s). I can't imagine them being able to even remotely get that stuff done with the same budget as they had in S1.

Very messily if I had to guess. Hopefully they still get the meat of it, lots of interesting things happen in these chapters.

By not fitting 60 chapters in. This season is most likely going to end with chapter 84, which is ~1500 pages away.
@AC.507 N This season is either going to end at the tournament or the elder centipede fight. Orochi in the intro doesn't mean it will get past that, as we see Orochi in a few scenes before the rescue arc.

See the whole thing about me is I love it for the comedy and the spirit. I mean the animation is important but in my opinion the studio in-charge did a great job considering that they do have many other projects being completed under their wing as well. Though in the second episode some scenes looked too comical (when Saitama is about to punch Fubuki) . Nevertheless it animated one of my favourite issues from the manga. Killua-style sonic XD. Now the new gang is being formed. Booyeah. King is the greatest gamer ever beware
don't worry most of the fights later on are going to be all about Garuo, and from what i have seen in the manga its going to be sick

Adaptation of the story is still pretty good. When I saw the first episode I was like 'ok, animation is different, not as good as it was, but it is not bad'. But now some parts of this episode were quite bad. And that is sad. But that is how it is. Now need to try enjoy the good parts of the episodes.
the original manga panel were good so there’s little you need to change to make story adaptations. If you adopt light novel yes story telling and framing needs lots of work. But for manga there’s seriously not that much to add. Yet the action is lot better in ep 1 compared to 2. If it drops even more this anime is pretty much dead to the most.
Wtf are you talking about? The action was handled perfectly. From the display of speed to impact of attacks, it was animated masterfully.
I don't know...Geno's fight was just more stills....if you look at most of the fighting sequences it's one backdrop and 3-6 overlaping images of the fighters(or their limbs) being in different parts of the backdrop...
Well thats normally how speed fights are ....when fights are instant movement ...there will be less movement images to show ,
@@TZJ1000 Look at Madhouses production on speedfights for one punch man...the least they could do is have the backrounds create the illusion of movement(like they do in dragonball) but they did not even bother doinf that much and added a black background.

They only make the animation quality look good during fight scenes, in regular talking scenes they don’t put much effort into it. Plus it’s been like three years since season 1, so you can’t blame the creators for the low budget 🤷🏽♂️
