You can also use horse feed bags for weed killer to put mulch or rocks on. Roofing shingles work best. Can't wait to see your flower garden!!!
Great picks
for opening glass jars with metal lids. Insert jar with lid around the jaggard portion around top ans twist open
You will love the wildflower garden, when you lay the rocks down, get something called mulch glue, apparently it stops the weeds from coming through, it also stops the rocks from moving around. You only have to reapply it every two to three years. I’m going to use it in my revamped garden this year. It works really well on mulch too.
Doing a project with some of those old crayons as decor would be really cool!! Love old crayon boxes
I don’t blame you for wanting that beautiful Jadeiate. Gorgeous!
Love seeing the treasures you find whether it be auctions estate sales, flea markets, thank you❤
Oh my the jadeite cake stand. So pretty.
The pink scissers will open bottles!
The pink scissors, the ridged part is a bottle twister opener. I believe Wiss. Is for Wisconsin?
Yvonne I just put cardboard down earth on top and wow my wildflowers really grew well no weeds
Yes on the auctions. 😊
Hello Yvonne I’ve watch your video’s for along time. You and Chris found some great interesting things at this auction. The kitchen shears comments have been interesting. I remember my mom buying a whole chicken at the grocery store and used the teeth part to break the chicken bones to the sizes she needed them to be to fit into the dish she was using. We never used that part to open jars. Yvonne you have the most beautiful hair I have seen in a long time. I understand there aren’t many true redheads anymore. My grandson hair is auburn. I’m so thankful you are recovering well from your illness. If you ever get to Knoxville, TN I hope we will be able to meet up for a few minutes. I don’t care what your video’s are , I enjoy them.
Love the auction videos, and looking forward to seeing the wildflowers grow up around the bird feeder ....
Y’all always find the coolest goodies ❤❤❤
I love all your auction finds!❤
Good morning Yvonne, mixing your flower seeds together before sowing them is a great idea...I didn't think about that ..makes it a whole lot easier with the sowing! It will be beautiful for sure. Sooo many goodies at that Auction! I was rooting for you!❤Awesome bag of little animals..I've been slowly collecting small farm animals for my Christmas Barn display...love the Windmill! Love, Love , Love the Cubby! Love Chris's Metal trucks/ dirt haulers and that wire basket!OHHHHHMYYY!! The vintage oak tool box is definitely a " Winner Winner Chicken Dinner " LOL! And YESSSSSSS! I do sooo very much love and enjoy youins auction videos just like all of youins videos! Chris and Yvonne...you two sharing the items at the the auctions/flea market/ yard sales bring me such joy, smiles and happy memories seeing vintage items..whether you buy them or not! Thank youins both! I'm sooo very proud to see youins back in the swing of things! Until next time, God Bless youins❤
No you weren’t crazy. You know your market. I want to see you win a bid like that. You got some awesome stuff. Love all the little baking things.
Yes I enjoy the journey videos. I loved the little primitive pig too
Great finds!🎉
Always so fun to watch all your videos. Thank you!
Loved it great stuff
Can't wait to see the wild flower garden in a few more weeks!
I love the auction videos. You got so many lovely things. The blue dog planter ist a cockerspaniel. I love the little barn, all the animals and the little mouse on the leaf. I'm ecited to see your wild flowers in summer. Here in Germany a wild flower meadow is popular also.
Fun video. You got some really fun pieces. Hope you continue to feel better. Thanks for sharing. 🎉
Absolutely enjoy both of your channels. Thanks to you both for all the effort and time you put into making these videos ,awesome 😊❤ 🐱
I live in Bay City and will probably see that beautiful jadeite for sale in our antique mall here. I have to say I thought I was hearing things when I heard the amount in the bidding. Oh my goodness...
That was fun to see what you got at the auction.
You kids could rule the world lol xo
I love auctions so love these videos! ❤😊❤
I love watching your auction videos! I live in Dallas, TX. You all have such good stuff at your auctions!
There is an estate sale by me in New Jersey that has a ton of metal trucks this week. I thought of Chris.
Ms. Yvonne, look up the no till method! You lay cardboard down, then cover with mulch. The cardboard will suppress the weeds and the mulch on top will keep it neat and tidy till you are ready to plant. It beats the heck out of digging up weeds and grass!
Thank you for sharing that
TH-camr Garden Answers has used the no till method in a few places on their land & good results. Might check their videos.
This is how I've done all my landscaping and my large veggie garden. I collected the cardboard for free from FB marketplace and got the mulch for free from chipdrop. I cover it every 2 to 3 years. Minimal weeds and no chemicals.
I love your auction videos! I love everything you make- buy- showing items. Very entertaining variety. Please keep it up
Agree with the no till...I've been using that method for years!
I just love the little animals reminds me of my childhood I was born in 1950 that was a great time to live and grow up I was in jr.high school when President Kennedy was assonated. My mom was born in 1927 and my dad 1925 I am old. Love your videos but you guys work to dang hard.
Craigs list and offer up are 2 very good places to buy and sale as i have saved money on used and made money. I would have watered the ground before seeding. So nice that here in alaska we are finally getting into the 60 degrees with the sun that feels so good as one of my dogs loves the sun. Happy days to you both😊😊😊😊😊
I collect that cobalt blue and white floral china (calico)!! That piece was gorgeous!! 😍
I collect toy metal trucks and im a girl. Great haul i love the sled the best.
❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Love these videos. And the jadite, omg! Love it, and you are not crazy. Lol
This pink scissors middle is to opens caps on bottles…
Have you ever looked on goodwill auction? I have looked on there and found some of the same items you have looked for, too. The only caution is to keep an eye on the shipping cost.
Yvonne, I am really interested in 2 pieces you got in this auction. One piece is that pig that is on the wood base with wheels. Things like that are never seen in our area. The other piece is the bunny sitting on a leaf. I collect bunnies, and have some wonderful pigs. One is a large, antique, wooden carved pig and one is a cast iron pig. I love those 2, and the pig you got wood fit in with those so beautifully. If you're going to put them on Etsy would you please let me know? I hope you continue feeling better because I know how difficult that situation is. My husband experienced the same thing however it took approximately 6-7 years before it got figured out. Since it took so long, it had totally destroyed his immune system. Eventually, he did fully recover but slowness of it out can be very frustrating. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. By the way, I love seeing these auction videos. To me it is a lot of fun getting to see what is there and what is going on throughout the auction itself, as well as seeing the haul afterward. And one more thing, I love seeing Tator. Heavens, he is adorable!
Most definitely I love watching the journey. In fact I’ve learned quite a a bit from your auctions. So you get no complaints from me. I knew jadeite was popular n it sure is pretty but if you got $4,000.00 to spend more power to ya. It’s too bad it couldn’t have been broken into category. You never know someday your ship will come in.
That tool box is a beauty. I have one similar to yours except I don’t have the tray n not made out of walnut, at least I don’t think so. It does have the leather handle.
♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🐈⬛🐈⬛
💖!
😍😍🤗
Wyandotte = pronounced WY an dot
It is also a breed of pretty chickens! :)
Those rocks may be a French drain or something. Perhaps it’s helping the house not take on so much water. Just a thought.
This is hysterical- I planted my balcony in wildflowers from seed! Got them from the Dollar Tree and they are coming up fantastically!! It’s so fun! Good luck!!
Love your auction videos and I love this channel just as much as your other one! Really good finds!!! ❤
Forgot to mention the very end! So funny Chris! I love watching the wave and “bye” at the end and this one tickled me, y’all are awesome
I loved your video
I think the knife case may be ebay worthy if you're still selling on ebay
Aw I loved this video so much interesting infomation given. That little tea set❤❤❤
The little fat piggy, the Tea Light. All of it really!! You both have a good eye or instinct, well done.
The German wood sled is cool! I have one too and it has the name Frank burned into it. I sometimes wonder if it might have been connected to the Anne Frank family somehow. But it probably just belonged to a boy named Frank. 😂. I can’t wait to see how your wildflower patch turns out! Next to junk, I love flowers. Bringing the 2 together is perfection. So much good stuff in this video, means lots to comment on. I would have loved to have gotten that jadite collection! Man, sorry it couldn’t have came home with you. I have one of those receipt holding hand clips but mine is missing the top loop piece. I use them to hold a vintage pair of ladies ivory gloves. I also have one of the little manger ornaments that my kindergarten teacher gave me. That makes it over 50 years old. Love these videos!!
Thank you
Not TOYS!!! Manly Trucks!!! Love it Chris!!!
I love all of the little farm animals. My kids spent hours playing with the OLD plastic kind at my aunts house. When she passed away, I was blessed to get them.
The little tea set is so precious!
I just love to watch everything you both do.
Blue dog looks like a cocker spaniel
It is. I was going to mention that too in my comment but was too focused on peat moss. I grew up with cocker spaniels as my dad was a pheasant hunter and the cockers were tremendously talented bird dogs but when Dad didn’t hunt they were the family pets. I have a very soft spot in my heart for cocker spaniels!!!:):):)
I used the no till method , used newspapers then mulch , the papers broke down and no weeds!!
For the price I’ve seen jadeite go for I don’t think you were crazy at all, I’ve been looking for a salt and pepper shaker LOL- for some reason I just love that look. I think you need to get your Cricut out and make Chris a Tonka sticker for his riding toy 😂😂❤❤❤
😂
Omgosh I have to do that ! Awesome!
I have to wonder if the rocks were placed next to the house to help with drainage. I dont plant right next to the house because i worry about water coming into the foundation. It did happen once.
The toolbox is gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiration for the wildflowers.
Hi Yvonne....your flower bed looks like it's off to a good start...not sure how much you know about the other plants in your front yard but those with the long variegated leaves are Hosta plants and they do not do well in full sun....there's still some time to find them a shady spot to transplant them now or it can be done in the fall...hope you're back in tip top shape soon
It was really fun seeing what you got!
Pink scissors Wiss good brand. The center is for removing bottles tops or nut cracker. Bo Bottles used to come with metal caps and were very hard to remove.
Couldn't believe all the rocks around your house. Wonder if they got a discount on all the pea pebble they used.
We wonder too.. maybe it was before they put gutters on?
I looked up the word on the cubby box and it’s a county and city in New York and it’s a Iroquoian word roughly translated to “foul smelling banks”.
🥴
Crazy red head.❤❤❤❤😮😮
I love what you got in this haul, although I'm sorry you lost the bid on that set of jadeite. I know how expensive the old jadeite is so $4000 for a full set was really reasonable. It is extremely rare to even see a single piece of jadeite
I'm 70, and I had 2 back surgeries last year. I love pretty yards. I still mow my own yard, but this year, instead of having numerous pots of flowers to water and fertilize, I decided to do a Mexican pottery garden! It is colorful, beautiful, and easy to maintain! I won't have to go out in the 95-degree heat at least once a day to keep them watered. I live in the deep south. The heat and humidity is no joke! Plus, I can bring my pottery inside or put it on my back porch this winter. 😊❤
Great idea..
Wow!!!! Great finds!
Omgosh, awesome finds!!
Absolutely love your videos !!!
If y’all planted a hedge between your front yard and the ditch by the road when it grew up it would muffle/absorb a lot of the road noise. It wouldn’t even have to be too high.
*Oh, how I L💚VED that little metal CHILD'S TEA SET❣️‼️💕💜💚*
*I also L❤VED the children's KITCHEN GADGETS - ESPECIALLY THE EGG BEATER❣️‼️❤*
I love seeing what you get at auctions, estate sales, garage sales as thrift stores. Your hauls are so much better!
Blue spaniel. Pink kitchen scissors also crack nuts. Small blue sewing machine oil can. What an interesting and historical haul. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your video! I love coming along to your auctions! Keep up the good work!
Love to watch your videos. Get lots of ideas for my crafting from you. Thanks. Those shears with the pink handles are kitchen shears and the middle with the gripping teeth is for opening bottles. Sometimes those caps are hard to unscrew from the bottle.
I love the sound of the wind chime. Yard is coming along nicely.
Thank you
Those wildflowers are going to look amazing!! You also got some cool stuff!!😊😊
Great haul! I’d keep that sled for your collection of Santa’s! Can’t wait to see the flowers come up!❤. I have those scissors in red!
Love going thrifting with you and Chris. So yes, please continue. Thank you.
The butter oat plates are great for crafts to use as a platform
When I saw the primitive pig at the auction, I thought “she’s going to get that” 😉
Love watching your auction videos and sharing your haul!
The pink scissors are kitchen scissors with a bottle opener. You got great littles especially the children's kitchen items. I love your auction videos. Hope you continue to get better.
Great haul you guys!❤❤
Love the auction videos! Keep them coming!
My favorite thing in the action haul was the little bunny on the leaf. I collect bunnies. Unique ones. I love seeing the auction videos though! Do more!!!
Planter is a Cocker Spainel. Chris is right those are Kitchen Shears, w/jar opener. I thought you won it. Sorry, you didn't get it.
Love those vintage trucks!!❤
Great finds, the pink scissors have a jar opener in the middle.
give the wild flowers a couple years to really fill in, I love mine now,
What a collection of jadite dishes!!! I really like the way you did the corners around the house. Those flower seeds sprouted very quickly! Thanks for sharing! Love Tater keeping an eye on things. 🙂🙂 I remember playing with farm animals as those. The fun we had.☺
Chris that was wonderful.:) All the things you guys got are so good, the animals, the cubby, the lamp....really nice. I just got my internet yesterday. We had a bad storm and a tree fell on out electric box. Just so if you were wondering that's why I haven't been watching. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah
Thank you
Blue dog is a cocker spaniel, he’s adorable. That grin on Chris’s face said it all. Hey, yeah Chris keep that front loader, it’s prefect for Christmas decor 😂. The saw blade, you could decoupage something on it. . Wow Chris you lucked up on your tools. Yvonne, you gots lovely littles and other yummy goodies. No, $4000 would have been a steal on the Jadeite and yes I love going with y’all to these sales. I do a lot drooling 🤤.😂😂😂😂😂.😊❤
Thank you
@@GingerChickRehabTheJourney*Yes, the dog planter IS a Cocker Spaniel. 😉*
Love this haul and the video at the actual auction. Good job!
So much fun !!! Love the auctions. Please keep us updated with the wildflower garden..I think that is just the coolest idea. I really hope that you are feeling better ❤️...prayers for you....Thank you for the video ❤
