Great to see you back! Some notes: 1:13 - This cover also always bothered me because each character looks like they came from a different source. Marine looks like typical Sonic Channel art, Metal Sonic looks like a keyframe from the OVA, Shadow looks like Sonic X promo art, Sonic looks like he was a first attempt by a comic artist that never touched this series (see Ken Sugimori's art of Classic Sonic for the Sega 3D Classics physical release for what I mean), and Blaze... I don't know how to describe her, it's a weird midpoint between the Sonic X style, the Sonic Channel style, and the Tracy Yardley! style. Even when I first touched this comic everything felt off. 7:08 - Might as well sum up my feedback for future comic reviews: don't give up on getting scans. Make them yourself it you have to, but photographing pages does disrupt immersion. Also, since I do watch Linkara a good deal, I did cringe a bit towards how you reenacted his ending shtick. If this were a direct homage or parody of his videos, it would have worked better, perhaps wearing his iconic hat to reference this, but as a standalone product, you should do something new to not seem like a copy. I'm not fully sure on how you should tackle this, but even with Lewis as an inspiration, you should think of a different way to conclude a review like this.
Absolutely understood on that last part. At the very least, if I find myself reviewing the Bionicle comics, I already have a page from Biomedia Project that contains the scans for at least all the Ignition issues I want to discuss, so that hypothetical review will have the scan problem fixed. It's something I'll look harder for with any other comics I'm interested to review. As far as a different way to end it(And even to start it, I basically copied his 'let's dig into X' bit by only replacing 'dig into' with 'read')... I really should have thought of that. Maybe instead of acknowledging that we were coming to the end of the comic before my last joke, I'd just let things play out and then say something like 'and that's the issue' or maybe just stop and say my final thoughts then and there. I'll think of it for next time. Appreciate the critique as always, and I'm sorry for the parts where I literally ripped Lewis off.
4:27 I mean...yeah...or he'll have more robots to rebel against him since, metal sonic (to my knowledge) is not the most loyal robot that eggman possesses
I don't have it yet, but when I do, I will play X7 after so long. My birthday's coming up too and I'm getting a job within the next couple weeks, so I'll have the money for it in short order, at least.
