I believe that the signs in revelation 6:12-13, God used these signs to announce something big was about to happen in heaven. I believe these signs were to announce that judgment was about to take place. These signs were all right before 1844. Give or take 100 years. In Matthew 24:29 these signs point to his actual coming, a blood moon is different than a moon that doesn’t give its light. We all know that the moon doesn’t give light it reflects light. A full moon reflects the light of the sun while a blood moon reflects the light of the sun bending around the Earth. Thus causing it to become red instead of white. A moon that doesn’t give its light is a moon that is eclipse by the Earth and it is totally dark. When Jesus comes these two powers Of the heavens will be shaken out of their orbits. The Earth will stagger back-and-forth like a drunkard. We have to remember that there were two things that the apostles asked in Matthew 24, the first was pertaining to what would happen to the temple and Israel. This question pertain to 70 A.D. The second question was what would be the signs of his coming. Too many people try to fit a square peg into a round hole and jam the dark ages into this chapter. Remember there were two specific questions which Jesus answered specifically to what they had asked.
