What an amazing video! As someone just starting out with Farming Simulator, I can’t express how much your insights have helped me. Thank you for the time and effort you put into creating this content; it truly supports new players like me and strengthens the game community. I appreciate all that you do!
Wow, thanks! You might be interested in my other guides which can be found in my Tips and Tricks playlist for FS25. Here is the link to the playlist th-cam.com/play/PLBu5F0DqyhKFuIHq8PGXO7UzpdEfRADKS.html
Grass was my favorite type of field work in 22. This video was very extensive, but I think it would have benefited from explaining how to prep an empty field for 100% yield bonus, and how it differs with grass compared to the annual crops that you have previously shown. Also talk about how often to cut for maximum yearly harvest. Maybe that is a topic for another video, with testing and results.
Everything should apply to you as I cover only base game functionality in these videos. On a rare occasion I might use a PC development function just for the sake of speeding up the video but it does not change how things work. Thank you for your comment.
I'm not new to farm sim but I did learn something! I thought the mini bale stacker still just stacked them in groups of 3 but I've learned that it stacks them in groups of 14 to make a large bale!
Watched it all. Was wanting to hear about yield bonus. Planting and when to harvest. 2 months vs 3 months. Why can’t you mulch then fertilize like in 22 to get 100% yield.
The issue I find with doing grass in '25 is that unlike '22 when after the cut I would simply go over it with a mulcher to get max yield for the next cut, I have to wait till the next day for the first growth stage (unless it's winter where it seems to take a few months before it starts growing) in order to mulch it to get my 100% yield bonus, otherwise I sit on 97% bonus. It doesn't seem to let me mulch right after the cut (either before or after rolling) like you could in '22. So this means that I end up losing one month's worth of growth by mulching it so it's a question of do I mulch for the 100% yield bonus and get fewer cuts in a year or more cuts at 97% yield bonus? My guess is the latter for all the trouble, and I suppose a loss of 3% yield bonus isn't such a great loss.
The dlc bailers from fs19?? that are still around as giants mods are worth a mention, the vicon fastbale you can’t go back from (must try it if you haven’t) and if you’re in hilly areas the pottinger bailer with the flipping stick is also essential. Nice vid.
Indeed once you open up to mods yes there are lots of options. The fastbale was the one thing that sold that particular DLC IMO in 19. These videos though cover base game equipment and functionality. I feel its important that folks understand the underpinnings of how the game operates before tossing mods into the picture that can have a signficant change on gameplay.
What are the benefits or differences between bigger bails and rolls vs. smaller? If the machine picks up both big and small, wouldn't it be more efficient to make them all big? Just hoping to learn the pros and cons. Thanks for the video.
User preference, weight of the bales might make it harder to handle unless you have big enough equipment and when it comes time to mix total mixed rations having the wrong size bales can make it more difficult to get a proper mix.
Not sure about real life, in in game certain machines which take bales (wrappers and shredders and pick up machines) have restrictions on what size they support so it’s a tiny bit of extra depth when working with bales to check what you’re doing with them.
Good job. Question for the floor. I baled a whole field of cut grass into round bales, then wrapped them and now I cant pick them up again with the side loading bale trailer I used before they were wrapped. Is that feature or a bug because it makes no sense to me.
Oh ok. Well I've don't 3 different fields an same result. So not sure what I've done wrong there then. Or if it was bugged on the map or what. I shall retry it. Thanks
I havent paid a whole lot of attention as to if there are two ready to harvest states for grass in 25 like in the past. I never looked at it that way but ya if you always cut at teh first ready to harvest state the grass is not fully regrown so yield would be lower than waiting for it to be fully regrown, ie the second ready to harvest state.
It might be that if you cut and then roll in around Oct/November it may take a few months to start growing back, as in my experience it doesn't seem to grow during Winter time - kinda like IRL I guess.

1:07:41 - Getting a double state of fert without using fert is something I was completely unaware we could do.

First. I am loving your FS 25 tutorials. Even though I play on console (XBox series X) most of what you cover still applies to me as well.
I agree. I'm on ps5 and his info is really helpful

@@FarmerKlein Primaily I was speaking of the keyboard commands that you often reference but I got you.
@@Bosay831Gaming oh ya sorry, I dont use a controller so I have no idea what the buttons are
I love the wind effects in grass 😂🎉😂 nice 👌
I had no idea you could get the 100% fertilization by rolling the grass that's awesome. Great vid 👍
Yeah but its so much faster to just use fertilizer. Ill spend that miniscule amount of $ to save time.
A lot of good stuff. Thank you for the knowledge and insights.

This stacker worked the same in 22. the three bale stacker hasnt been in the game for a few versions now.
@@FarmerKlein haha I always just assumed it was the same, so I thought it was a waste of time. I'll definitely use it now!
At a medium pace.

Was thinking the same

Do we know why the mowers (maybe its just the Big M) sometimes hops and skips patches? Is this a bug or intentional?
I have seen this and my only guess would be a bug. I have not yet reported it but you can by going to feedback-giants-software.com
I had a smaller mower miss grass and I hit it from another angle and it cut it I guess it was in a slight ditch for me
Good job.

You should be able to load wrapped bales with the bale trailer.
so the grass roller is fixed? cuz from my experience using the grass roller ''killed'' the field the grass wouldn't grow
I have only experenced that problem once.
Oh ok. Well I've don't 3 different fields an same result. So not sure what I've done wrong there then. Or if it was bugged on the map or what. I shall retry it. Thanks
Do you still not get higher yield if you wait an extra month after the field is ready to harvest?

@FarmerKlein there was only one when game launched, was thinking if they had fixed that with 1.3
hello,
The rolling is kinda bugger at the moment, on a server without the season, the grass stay in the rolled state for ever :(
Leeloo Multipack
There is a bug in mowing contract, the Valtra S with Elho Duett 7300 doesn't have the reverse drive option.
report it feedback.giants-software.com
Don't roll the grass in FS25 it will not grow after you roll it.
I have rolled and had no such problems with not growing back.

Are you speaking slower? whatever. i can grab the info. thnx
