The WORST home floor plan ever...

- I did an inspection of this home and realized that it had 4 different colours of carpet, 8 bedrooms (2 of them were master suites), 4.5 bathrooms, an unfinished kitchen, etc... The SFR home was built this way - no conversions... This has to be one of the worst homes ever, in regards to functional obsolescence... So, please don't built your next home with this floor plan in mind...
A duplex that was converted into a single-family home?
BackSeatJunkie that is exactly what it was a duplex converted into a single family home I can Ohio a lot
No... I thought it was the same... actually it was originally constructed as it is now.
Tripp Jones people come up with the strangers floor plans when they building a house I would convert it into a duplex
It was probably designed as a duplex and built as a single-family residence with some minor changes.
I think that you've hit the nail on the head!
This looks like something I built in the Sims
multi family home. Immigrant family with grandparents and several children.
no wonder they blow up somewhere in the streets then
I feel like Mormons or something. 8 bedrooms means a ton of kids and the cross is very christian. The only Christians who have that many kids are like Mormon usually
This house is a converted duplex. Its a common thing to see in Memphis not this nice though.
I'd love to have that house. Just knock down a few walls, and it could be a very functional floor plan. Also, the property around it looks really nice, plenty of room for outbuildings.
Not a good layout as it is, but you could transform that into a killer house if you could get them to sell it at a decent price.
Wow this home looks like if it were used as a duplex someone can enter it without you knowing. Wow what a crazy design I guess someone in the past had some weird idea and came up with this plan. I don’t know if this house was originally single family or multi family. I enjoyed your video this is very detailed.😎
I thought it was all fine until I saw the two front doors.
Imagine someone knocks one one door and the owners answer the other door
Looks like a starter home for the branch davidians.
Being a SF Bay Area resident... this looks like an investor's dream house. A quick remodel and make it an AirBNB hotel.
lol
perfect to convert to two town houses ...it reminds me of some I've been in that were converted back.to one home...
As others have noted, this does not look like a single-family home. It may have been built as a group home or for a religious order. The two ensuite bedrooms might have been for the administrator and for staff. It could easily be converted into two spacious residential units.
Is it supposed to be a Ranch style house? Is it Section 8?
I quite like the layout. Change the horrible carpets and some fresh paint, finish the kitchen. Could be nice
True. All it needs is a little love.
The Duggar's starter home...
:)
Not a good summing up of a property which is clearly not a single family residence.
Has to be a group home as Tom Langley suggested or it may be a residence for missionaries. The clue is at 4.40. The cross in the floor tile.
What is "obsolete" about the "function" of this house? If you're going to use grown-up words, lean what they mean.
look up the definition... it's a real term... are you a broker or appraiser?
Im gonna say this was once a group home of some sort-Given the 2nd Floor exit and the office space downstairs-perhaps secular in nature (Cross in the tile)
Tom. You hit the nail on the head.My thoughts exactly. The cross was the giveaway. Could even be a group home for missionaries.
I'm handy, this place is awesome. does need work but I'd put in a bid.
Multi family homes are becoming more and more common as people are hitting retirement age without the proper savings
That place is huge
Looks like a house for a big family 😱 2 wives, 1 husband and lots of children 😱
Meant as a workplace as well? Or rooms for renting? Large family with separate living spaces?
They could only get council approval for a home not 2 apartments, however well designed as they know that later down the way they can get it approved and then $$$
well if the house was in better shape with new carpets wall paper etc i chould see that as a nice place for a faimly of 3-5
I'm guessing the previous owners were part of some sort of religious cult. Definitely getting 'communal living with not many personal boundaries' vibes.
I think,this house needs a renovation☺️
You sound very smug and condescending. This house is wonderful! Millions of people would love to call this place Home! Me included!!!
A polygamist home? Lol
That was on my mind too. That would explain the 2 master suites and the downstairs daycare room.
Good for a horror movie
good home for mormans lots of children
It looks to be a multi-family home or a polygamous home.
If someone fixed it up it would look nice.
it looks like a converted church
Well the floorplan is horrible however it will make a good section 8 house
What is the orange tags used in 1:26 for? I haven't seen them on toilets or tubs before.
Winter proof, date of it happening.
So, proof that it was winterized basically?
They are winterization stickers placed by the property preservation company. This is a foreclosure.
Jerkoff.
Worst ever? Not the best I ever aw but surely not the worst. There appear to be no code violations in regards to the structure.
haha...
Who needs 9 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms
Someone with a lot of kids.
The only time I've seen layouts similar to this is with community centers and such. Like the main office/community building at a large apartment complex or something?
Looks like a group home to me.
Do I detect Sister Wives?
haha its like rly crappy mid 1990s suburban sprawl as a desparate attempt by a builder.. something you'd see by me on long island in some places .. or in some of the suburbs of atlanta georgia
I like turtles............................
Weird indeed, but I kind of like it.
Built to let the in laws live with them?
Hi
I'm thinking with the real estate sign having the 912 area code, this would be somewhere in southern Georgia.
Timothy Leary's house.
i like that floor plan. its simple
I didn't like the high ceilings in the living rooms, and no windows in the bathrooms. Otherwise it was OK for a large family, and 5 acres is nice too.
[ NO one asked how I fix this but I do it anyways ]
The thing which really bugged me is the 2 front doors like I would have a central door which would lead into the dining space making that space kind of a hallway function & formal dining than the 2 other main rooms I would change so one's a big kitchen with breakfast table than the other one a living room. I would make the stair landing have fences rather than full walls to make a indoor balcony which is kinda cool. I would hardwood floor the entire floor apart from bathrooms & paint the walls & than it should be at least a lot better
