Brilliant intro! haha - "what about the doors"! Love it. You're welcome for the cutting discs - happy bracket making ;) , I'll nail the gift card wording next time! :)
HI you are doing a great job on your car. but when you get to the doors you should think about using conduit for the inside of the door in stead of the angle iron.
Hey Dave. It's bad enough that we have to put up with one of you, But TWO of you? That is way toooo much. It's a good thing that didn't take the car for a quick rip around the block. It might have fallen apart with loos nuts.😕 Thanks for sharing.👍👍🍁
Hey Dave, thanks for the video. Can I ask. When are you going to bolt the front end on permanently? And where did you get that pad for your knees? As I could certainly use one. And lastly. Yea, you do seem to be paying way too much for your parts. Do you have access to Ebay in Canada? As I feel their prices can't be beat. I remember when you said you paid something like $40 for your chrome alternator bracket. I bought the exact same bracket on Ebay for $17 So that should tell you how bad you are being ripped off. Thanks again
The pad is from an exercise machine no-one was using. Ebay is useless in Canada, the shipping is insane. If I was to buy something from the usa for 10 dollars, it could cost 30 dollars to get here. Amazon prime is good as it has free shipping, but doesn't always have what I need. It's just part of living in Canada. I've not bolted the front end on yet as I'm still deciding whether I should cut off that cross member and move it back a few inches. You know, the one the rad is attached to lol.
Hey Dave, as for the front springs. My other projects have given me some research skills that might help. For the Crown Vic front end, there are two "stock" springs available for the Crown Vic from Moog, those being police (80668) and non-police (81098). You can look those parts up here. (www.moog-suspension-parts.com/products/ford_crown_victoria_2003) Once you have those part numbers, this chart will give you the dimensions and spring rates. (www.moog-suspension-parts.com/universal_coil_springs.asp) Finally, this site has a nice spring calculator that you can play with to see what ride height you can expect. (www.ridetech.com/tech/spring-rate-calculator/) I'm assuming your car is lighter on the front end than the Vic so... While I'm referencing all things Moog, I'm really trying to show what specs the two stock springs are from the factory. It also appears that these springs can be cut with little problem. Not looking at it so not sure. Just trying to help. Keep up the good work!
@@ScottRods If you haven't already, you might want to check out the Facebook page, "CrownVic subframe swap" (facebook.com/groups/342826412547822) on Facebook. Lots of folks swapping CrownVic subframes into all kinds of cars, with and without airbags, etc.. There's a lot of information shared on dealing with any issues you may have. Good luck with it!
Scott Rods they go by many names...Ansen 5 Slots, Jelly Beans, Hooker Heels, F#€K Me Boots...whatever you wanna call them...no matter what car they’re on...they’re the t¡ts

I was watching Andy install the cables you gifted when the notification for this popped up! So here I am, lol. Cool opening. Double vision?

Lol yeah don't forget the doors, are you still planning to raise your running boards?
Yes, running boards need to go up.
Which one is the evil twin?
Well done on the camera trickery.
Have ya started the doors yet??
third person door critic
So Dave, do you get blisters on your hands when you work that fast, or is that just fancy camera work?
did you put that spring back in??
What spring
I think they ment the spring you mentioned before you pulled that white guide looking thing out with the needle nose pliers
@@bwsgarage You've not grown accustomed to my humour yet have you ;-)

Thanks for the research Rob. I think I need to buy a set of camber adjustment bolts. Mine don't have the proper offset washers.
