🎵What a difference a day makes🎵. In this case a few days later, I read further in the comments, in how you look at something. What I saw was a lot of beautiful grungyness and I love it. But you didn't feel it on that day. Luckily you changed your mind. Thank you for sharing your "bad day" which had a wonderful outcome.❤👍
I'm glad you didn't give up. I have those days but I tend to throw up my hands and walk away. If I'm lucky, I won't throw them away and when I come back, they look different! It happens, but like a real trooper, you pulled it out and they ended up great. The key is to never give up. And I love watching you create and hearing your ideas. Hang in there. You pulled it out and tomorrow is another day. You've got great ideas and great rescues! ❤❤❤❤
I give my dad a chuckle from time to time. My husband doesn't get my humor. Mostly I'm pretty boring, but I'm content with my quiet life. The videos must be my alter ego. 😜
This is my first time viewing. My take: Just have fun, Girl! You're too critical of yourself! So Denise did it differently. I don't know Denise so I have no frame of reference. But I can say I learned stuff from watching this first (for me) video of yours. My trouble is where to start painting. I have never, but I'm a journal maker, collage/glue fanatic, and mixed media fan. I have the supplies and I sure do want to paint. It's overwhelming to someone who has had no instruction. So the idea of breaking up the white space with random lines to start the process makes so much sense! And I can make marks all day long, so watching your various devices and techniques was encouraging and fun. I was like, "I have one of those! I can do that!" I just had to turn the sound down because you didn't seem to be having fun. And if nothing else, art should be fun! I'll subscribe -- I like your style!
Thanks for your kind words. I think this video just caught me on a bad day hence the more positive intro which I recorded several days after the original video. We all have times we are critical of our creative endeavors. No one is immune from that. This particular time was caught on camera and I decided to share it because I know others have similar negative thoughts and I hope they'll be encouraged knowing they aren't alone. I ended up being happy with what I made and even watching it back wondered why I was so frustrated when I was making it. I'm blaming hormones.
@lucyperry8422 you spoke your mind in a caring way. I don't have any problems with that. I must have forgotten to add emojis. 😉 They seem to make a comment feel less defensive. 🤔 💙 Welcome to my channel. I hope you'll come back. I'm not always so negative (I rarely am actually). Love&hugs 🌞😎💜
I love these paper sheets Darcy🌟🥰 - so beautiful, I don't agree with you 😉- you had a wonderful day making gorgeous art! (I need to buy me a Gel plate - it's so much to learn...... canvas I do have🥳). Thank you Sweetie for sharing ❤🤗- I'm staying up just waiting to watch your video 3:46am Sweden
well that was a FUN RIDE! And I actually adore what you made! It's VERY grungy and industrial and AMAZING 🤩 I have so so so many times where I make something and I think "Well that's hot garbage...wtf?" then I go back a day or even just a few hours later and I'm all "oh wait, that looks nothing like I thought...I love this!" so ya know...🤷♀ nothing is real 😂
Loved this video! I love how comfortable you are with the camera! The paints I used were Dick Blick matte paints in the colors Celadon, Sage Blue, Blue Light and Green Light.
Thanks so much. 💙 The celadon and sage blue were my favorites. I have similarly colored craft paints. I'd definitely like them in matte. I'll have to check them out (heading to a pmartiststudio video to click their affiliate link 😊).
I’m compelled to say this. You need to quit complaining and comparing yourself to someone else. I enjoyed this creation from start to finish and was wishing I could do something like this.

❤ I’m hoping to film my first page in my dump journal today……..I’m going to be thinking of you whilst I create.
Have fun! 💙
Yep! Another fun one! Some days are better than others, but you worked thru it. ♥
Thank you ❤️
I liked the result a lot. Every bit of it!
Thanks so much ♥️
I think they look FANTASTIC!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks so much, Susan ♥️

Darcy I like the way your pieces came out. I would be proud to have produced them even if it wasn't what you had in mind when you started!
Thank you, Helen. ❤️
Well. It all looks great to me!
Thank you very much. 🥰💙
Darcy, I can only imagine living with you🤣 It sure would be fun to craft together!

I really like this. Don't be so hard on yourself. I also struggle with many layers and tend to give up too soon. I NEED to trust the process!
Thanks, Suzanne 💙
Love it
Thanks so much 💙
Well why not ah Darcy! You've motivated me to go have a play! 😊
Yay! I hope you have fun! 💙
It all looks great! 🎉❤
Thank you! 🤗
Negative or "impure" 🎉😂❤
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
Hello Marguerite 👋 💙
Oh for goodness sake please spare us the agonising over every move, the result is fabulous! Have faith girl!!! You do you and let Denise do her!!!
I was probably hormonal that day; more whiny than usual. 🫠

Hope I didn't overstep -- you can chalk my comments up to crabbiness. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.

I think you can add Ultra Matte Medium to your acrylic paint and get the paint to be matte? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong 😅
@@whatjenren I’ve not tried that-maybe I should.
You made me sing 🎤 I got words in low places 😅 Btw you were too hard on yourself love 😜 I think you did awesome 👏 ❤😂
Thanks. I was hormonal and it ended up on video. Even watching it, I was wondering why I thought it was so bad.😉
Oh well good! I’m glad you didn’t think you did bad later and I understand hormonal lol 😂 ❤
✨💖✨
Thanks for watching 💙
The costar stole the show 😢

Honestly looking at it now, I like it much more. My attitude that day may have been hormonally induced. Thanks for your encouragement. Love&hugs ❤
I know you could do this. I'm not sure if you have paints in your stash or not; if not, play with inks and mark-making and just have fun.
Aloha🤙
