- I've had my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in the Damier Ebene Canvas for almost 2.5 years! In this video I tell you my honest opinion of the handbag; sharing details on what I like and dislike about the bag.
The Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 was my second Louis Vuitton purchase. My first purchase was the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in the Damier Azur Canvas (check out my newest videos playlist to see this video).
Recently, I've been contemplating on IF I want to sell this bag. Initially, when I bought the bag I wanted to go with the original design vs the newer design with the bandouliere strap. Now that I am older and wiser :) I am reconsidering buying the Speedy 30 with the Bandouliere strap in the same Damier Ebene Canvas.
Comment below and tell me if you think I should sell the bag. I honestly cannot remember the last time I've carried my Speedy 30, but whenever I look at the bag it does make me smile.

Great video! The bag is so beautiful and classic, but if you don’t love it you should sell it and buy one that you love.
Thank you Kennisha! The bag really does make me smile and happy. I just never reach for it. I think once the stores open back up, I’ll head to the boutique to check out the Speedy 30 B and really see how i feel about that one.
Keep it! Looking at recent price increase, you'll be glad that you had bought this earlier. Who knows, you might fall in love again and find a way to use it :)

I have the speedy 30B in monogram. I've had it almost a year and used it the first few months and then put it away and haven't thought about it sense. I love that the strap can allow for crossbody wear but it's such a big bag that I feel like I'm carrying luggage lol. I did take out one part of the strap and wear it as a shoulder bag and that helped but it still feels huge. I agree that a bag organizer is a must! I think I might actually try and sell mine and replace it with something that is more my style. It was an impulse buy for me and I've kept it since it's such an iconic piece but I like to use my bags and don't know if I should hold on to it. Thanks for the great video!!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this bag. I've also had a love-hate relationship with the Speedy. First I had the 25B which I loved wearing crossbody, but on my frame looked like a child's bag. Then I got the 30 classic. I loved the size, but I couldn't live without a strap. Now I own the 30B, and I'm really struggling if I should keep it... It just looks better in the classic, but personally I think its too large to be crossbody... Ugh! I wish they had a Speedy 27. After owning 3 different models, I'm starting to think it's not for me. I get way more enjoyment out of my Neverfull anyways.
This was really helpful! You have the Speedy30B and still don’t like it? Does it feel too big as a crossbody? I’m really on the fence for if i should just buy the 30B. But I’m not sure just yet. I also am on the fence if i should sell my current. My neverfull will always be my favorite bag! I’m currently carrying it now 💕
@@MorganMonia For me it feels too big to be a crossbody. I just feel like it wasn't designed to be that way, if that makes sense? I just like my pochette metis better as a crossbody, and my neverfull to hold a lot of stuff. Whatever you decide, make sure you give yourself enough time to decide. Good luck with your decision!

Where did you sell your past speedy bags? I'm looking to get rid of mine for the same reasons but don't know where I should look to sell.
I recently sold my classic DE 25 and purchased the bandouliere 30. It was a good decision for me. I have two other classic speedys and love the look but honestly, the strap is a game changer. And i have been wearing the two strap pieces as a shoulder bag. I have two different organizers but prefer just organizing with pouches. Good luck with your decision. It was hard for me to decide but once i did i have no regrets. 🥰
I’m uploading a video tomorrow in regards to my decision! Your advice is super helpful ❤️. The bag can get really heavy if it doesn’t have the extra strap. I love my bag organizer and how it allows the bag to keep its shape. I hate having to dig in my bag to find something.

I definitely think you should keep it. It's a classic bag. I got through phases where I like to carry a certain type of handbag, but when I want to switch it up, I have other types of bags to choose from. So even though you don't carry her that often, you still will have the option to bring her out when you want to. Plus your bag will remain in excellent condition as time goes on. And with the way Louis Vuitton has been increasing their prices, you should definitely hold on to her.

@@MorganMonia you're welcome. I have the speedy bandouliere 30 in damier ebene & monogram. They are my absolute favorite bags to carry. Having the strap makes carrying that bag so easy & effortless. You may find yourself reaching for the bandouliere version more.

Don't sell it, I got my first Speedy 25 in 2006 and used it all the time. Yes times have changed and I too have jumped on the crossbody wagon but I will never get rid of my trusted speedy. I still do use it, it's a classic for a reason. I do however understand your point of view, ultimately you must do what is right for you. Stay safe 💖

I have tried that bag! It’s larger than most would expect. It’s not the size of a weekender, but more like a jumbo bag (not sure if that makes sense). I think it would be perfect for overnight trips! And the strap would help for sure 💕
Get the 30B. It feels large crossbody but after you wear it a while it doesn’t feel so big anymore. I also have the 25B which is cute and actually holds my every day items but feels too small. I got the Siena PM as a smaller/big bag and plan to sell my 25B. I don’t use just regular top handle bag so that would never work for me in the original. Good luck with your decision. 😊

I'm having the same issue. My boyfriend bought me this same exact bag. I wished I would have exchanged for the Speedy30b. But feel too bad to sell it since he went out of his way to get it. I wantvto carry mines everywhere but without a strap its impossible. Ugh...but in your case since you purchased it, I would sell it and buy the one with the strap if you want to carry it more and everywhere. Also new subbie here. Just subscribed.

@@MorganMonia Same here. I thought about getting the Siena in a different print to avoid this feeling. I'm turning 40 and was hoping to go visit my cousin in Paris to get a new bag. We will see. He originally bought it in Macys, NY and I did not know that I could have returned/exchange it in Boston. Ugh, some days I love and hate it for not having the option of free hands.
Shermaine Estwick it’s honestly the worst feeling. Especially when you’re shopping or running errands. You will LOVE the experience in Paris! I bought my Neverfull GM there and they are so attentive and caring. They’ll give you champagne and all! I want the details for when you go and what your experience is. I can even give you the name of my SA from when i went 💕

It’s absolutely absurd. I understand the yearly price increases, but to do them back to back like this was shocking. Especially not on their canvas bags where people see a ton of quality defects. Raise the price on the bags when the quality gets better. I personally have not have quality issues though.
Morgan Monia I 100% agree. And with the price increase and stores being closed it’s not helping the customer at all. And we all know the prices won’t go down 😭. It’s almost like right when I save up and I think I have enough boom price increase

I honestly haven’t seen a lot of corner wear on my speedy. But i also don’t carry it that much - which may be why i don’t see a lot of corner wear 😩😩 i think the monogram would wear worse vs DE - but that’s my personal opinion 💕💕
