Flynn was a very young & inexperienced actor when he was signed for Captain Blood. He greatly improved as the filming progressed. Warner Brothers was impressed enough to reshoot some of Errol’s first filmed scenes because of his improvement
“Captain Blood” is one of Errol Flynn’s best swashbucklers. Easily superior to the special effects slop we get from Disney today. The effeminate, mascara laden Depp is a sorry excuse for a pirate.
@@donnarichardson7214 Yes. He played in “The Black Swan”. Other good ones: “The Captain from Castile”, “Blood and Sand” and “Nightmare Alley”. Tyrone was an excellent swordsman like Errol. And also lived hard like Errol. Died at 44.
Read Flynn’s biography……acting was the least most exciting thing he ever did….the heavy drinking shorten his adventures and he died at 50…. But wow what a youth

Think Flynn couldn't act? Nicely played scene and then some.

Tyrone Power was a pretty good pirate, too

What did he do this time
I hadn't realised his acting was so wooden.
Only his 2nd picture; first real Hollywood one. And...1935.
I thought he was great his earlier movie.
