'The Hope Is Jesus': Signs of Hope Are Visible in Maui Despite Extreme Trauma

- Nearly a week after the devastating Maui fires the relief effort is in full swing. Churches and numerous humanitarian aid groups, including CBN's Operation Blessing, are doing all they can to help the people of Maui find hope and new life after tragedy.
One sign of hope, the Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina, built in 1846, appears to have survived untouched by the flames, even though burned houses are all around it.
And hope is also what the staff of Harvest Kumulani Church near Lahaina, is trying to give people.

Doing it in practical ways is so important for people to feel seen and heard. It is not our government that is helping it His family. Praying for Lahaina and those in pain.

There's video of law enforcement shutting down donations and relief aid in Maui of citizens helping citizens. Only the government would shut down citizens helping citizens in a catastrophe. Change my mind.

Jesus did not bring the fires. Fires are caused by people and their energy. When we obey Gods commandments and avoid Pride..Lust..Greed..Anger and Worry..There is Peace. We bring their own destruction.

I gave my contributions to Harvest and to a few others within the church. I want to see the people of Lahaina in the loving care of the church. God bless the non-believers who are also doing the best that they can to help their neighbors.
Even though those non-believers are nice people it doesn't get them to heaven when they die and there is only two ways to go when we die. We either go UP with Jesus Christ to heaven or down with Satan to the pit of hell. They need to believe in Jesus Christ repent and be born again in Christ and follow Christ or they won't see heaven for eternity. Just stating a fact and not sugar coating. The Lords sent all the people in the world his Prophet to get the whole world the truth, did yoiu find his prophet who is speaking & teaching for the Lord God Almighty/Jesus Christ? God bless

Very sorry to say but not everyone goes to heaven when they die. If they didn't reconcile with Jesus Christ by repenting and being born again and following Jesus Christ then they did not go to heaven as a fact in the Holy Bible. That starts at the age of reason (to know better).

This has been prophesied that people would begin running to churches.
Our God is a mighty God.
Running to churches isn't the same thing as repenting. _That_ is ultimately what God wants. It does nobody any good to go to church and still refuse to live God's way. That's what ppl who play church do. The fact that Amos shows God saying that our ppl refuse to turn to Him despite the corrective measures He is using means a lot of "Christians" are not as connected to God as they want to think they are.

I have just watched this on TH-cam for the first time today. I don't want to sound mean or anything, but why don't these so-called Tele-Evangelists do something to help with the relief efforts in Hawaii, mainly the island of Maui, and dig into their pockets, wallets, purses, bank accounts themselves, even if it means stepping down or out of the spotlight, selling their million dollar homes or private jet or tour bus, everything they've got? Not just them, but famous Hollywood celebrities and artists that are a part of the Christian Pop/Rock genre or Contemporary Christian Music industry as well! Again, sorry if I sound mean. Amidst the horrible wildfire in Maui, this Harvest Church was protected by God as proof that God is not dead. He is alive. Yes, people there lost their property, but Jesus is the only HOPE. This catastrophic event just spoke the message that all things in this life are just borrowed from God. Naked we were born, naked will we return to God. Be strong. Jesus sees. Jesus knows. He is with you always.
