SPOILER: DEVELOPMENT RATES I blame the fever for me forgetting to put them in the video. Also, the points go for the full year. Meaning that every season includes the January 1st report for the following year as that report tells us points gained in December for the last year. 2024 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 28 points. Bearman gained a total of 38 points. 2025 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 29 points. Bearman gained a total of 38 points. 2026 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 26 points. Antonelli gained a total of 46 points. 2027 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 21 points. Antonelli gained a total of 35 points. 2028 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 14 points. Antonelli gained a total of 24 points. 2029 SEASON Piastri gained a total of 8 points. Antonelli gained a total of 16 points.
I have a save from before the patch where Antonelli got up to 96 by 2033 with the AI (I’ve not been fortunate enough to have him myself yet) but in that same save I had Hauger and Marti from the beginning as I similarly wanted to see how much I could develop a driver as I think they’re like 70 and 58 rated in the beginning?! I managed to get Hauger to 84 and Martí to 85. One thing I noticed though was that they seemed to develop less when I focused on an area like Short Stints etc. and they actually developed faster by just leaving them on Balanced, same with Staff too. On Balance they developed much faster than focusing on their weak areas. Not sure if it’s the same post-patch though but found that quite interesting
The funny thing about Antonelli is that you can get him by 2025 if he wins the F2 championship. Would be cool to experiment with both Mclaren boys. Altho Lando's development rate is 60 against the staggering 97 of Antonelli, he starts at 89 overall instead of Antonelli's 70. This is why Piastri is so broken this game. He starts at a 84 overall and have a 82 improvement rate. They lose 5 improvement rate points each year this game.
Theres an exploit in the game, you can hire the best staff and drivers for very little money for multiple seasons, just rack up signing bonus to 1-2 million and salary around 600-800 k
You can do this yes, but it comes with 2 drawbacks. Low salary gives morale loss for your staff and drivers and it makes it easier for the AI to poach them. Makes sense to do it for the first couple of seasons.
personally i think that when it says that they have a maximum devolpment rate, it means that they grow as much as they can according to their improvment. so, when it says that oscar has a maximum development rate, he is getting the full 62 improvment that he can. thats how i understand it.

@ I moved piastri and George to my team after a season with kimi in my affiliate. Played around 4 seasons then George started to drop off so I replaced him with kimi
The buffs on stats with high mentality are crazy. I remember for F1 manager 22 you could just put your points into whatever stat you wanted. Yes that also meant that reactions was op and to put it up first. But the growth was a least not as high. Honestly the mentality system is good but makes stats way too broken
To be honest Alonso was 24-25 years old when he won the drivers' championship and I think he was not in the best form of him. I mean he was good but after that he developed more. So maybe when the driver is at his 25+ years with max development is a bit overkill but before that I think it's okay. And I want some flexibility with driver development and want some interresting alternetive setups where you can be competitive without crashing the car all the time. (I tried with Sophia Flörsch and with a random generated driver who was 54 OVR and I pulled out my hair in the first season because all the races was ended with one of them DNFed.) For example I want to develope some F1 Academy drivers to be competitive and win some championships within 2-3 seasons without too much stress. I'm just a casual gamer who can bored on a game when it's too long to achive your goals. So I think this kind of developement is okay. I'm curious though how much time will be to get a low OVR but young driver to be competitive which means at least 80 OVR. Now I try to develope Aurelia Nobels and Bianca Bustamante as affiliate and Piastri and Maloney as main drivers. I'm curious if I can get those affiliate drivers to be at least 80 OVR before they developement rate will be lowered too much.
is your 2023 guide to car development still valid for manager 24 or could you maybe make a new one? im struggling a lot with it in this new game. nice channel mate +1 sub from me!
has anyone been getting the bug where the end of the sponsor payout period it just completely undercuts how much you actually picked? I went 1k over to lower the next period, and it said i only did 1k the whole period, now i had to do the same activities again. im losing so much money for the sponsor payouts lol
My team car is 1st in all Cornering speeds and 3rd in top speed yet I’m struggling to reach Q3, over 1s off the pace, are the drivers not good enough? Currently have Hulk n Lawson
I dont understand what I'm doing wrong. Drivers just dont seem to be developing very much for me. I'm doing a McLaren save right now and I'm in September 2027. Piastri is 92 rated yet yours was 93 in 2026. I have all facilities that affect growth maxed out and his mentality has been enthusiastic the whole time. I don't understand what is going on
For this I kept them on balanced so that might have played a part. I also have a sneaking suspiscion that team hub might affect development of drivers aswell as staff.

He was still in f2 as an 85 rated for me.he was an affiliate for red bull and I just nicked him for free😂😂

It’s currently 2031 on my save and Oscar is 99 and kimi is 94, all my back room staff are 99 and my car is 4 laps faster than everyone else
Did you put them in the car as early as possible or did you have them as affilite in a couple of seasons?
@ I moved piastri and George to my team after a season with kimi in my affiliate. Played around 4 seasons then George started to drop off so I replaced him with kimi

With an AI team, you can get growth to 99 rapidly if you select the people with the highest stats at the beginning.

I'm wondering whether development is slightly different in normal career compared to create a team
Antonelli is fkin broken but makes sense if he is considered such a huge talent. Jumped to 84 in a season while bearman was still 80 about to be 81
Getting ready to watch another banger
16:26 mate the car is rocketship
Kimi: STFU is not enough, my standard are flying ones
😂😂😂😂
Have you tried the database editor?
I'm just always running out of money!
I think team hub affects drivers too in this year's game
It might be yeah. The mentality buff affects them but would not surprise me if the extra development from team hub is affecting drivers too.

Just get a tow off the team that’s lower than you in car development
Make sure to do 2 flying laps, as the AI doesn't warm up the tires properly on the out lap, also try to get a tow from another car
Yes, also the timing when u release the drivers matter, if you release them under traffic their lap will be compromised. Just get good at the game.
Which stats do you prefer the most in driver?
Pace stats.

The game is so fucking broken at the moment, its gonna take them months to get the game to at least a semi-playable state.
Antonelli's development rate is way too high. Guy is so overrated
