- I never said I was a graceful crasher… skip to if you don’t want to hear me be a big baby. That crash knocked the breath out of me, gave me some bruises and a nice headache for the rest of the day, but my Bell Moto-10 did its job in protecting my noggin! I was missing my rear fender the rest of the race, the bike flipped and snapped it off.
Other than that issue I had a ton of fun. I fought hard and made my way up to 7th, out of 17 ladies. Such a rough track but that’s the inevitable when there’s as many riders on the track as there is. The dirt was primo!! I am looking forward to the next GNCC!
Also please don’t make fun of me for stopping for gas, haha! I had no idea what kind of track this was or how long they would take but looking back now I could have done without stopping. It’s a big learning curve for me, have some patience lol!
Sorry about your crash. It should never happen. Every rider should pay attention and respect that the races is really long and the start doesn't really mean much. Glad to see you eventually get your breath back and gather yourself and move forward. Great mental toughness!
I don’t have a doubt they didn’t do it on purpose.. I know it happens. But yes! Starts really don’t matter as much when you have 2 hours to put laps down 😬 maybe next time I’ll wait a couple seconds after the flag 🤣
Way to fight through adversity! Great ride. Keep on ripping!
Thank you!! 👊✊
im showing this to my buddys because some of them would of quit. your a warrior
Thank you so much ☺️
I was so stoked to see this young lady get back up and get going. Great job.
Yep! Awesome!!💪🏻
Ugh. Hate that happened to you on the start. But, what a come back. Great job! The congestion at the beginning was insane and I've never seen a course with so many line choices. Loved the video.
Thanks!! It was super fun despite the start, but it happens !
Awesome race, it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s the fact that you get up every time and go for it. Well done❤
Thank you very much 😁
Good come back for you,,,,,you got up, dusted off and continue on.
Thank you!! 💪
Good for you to get up and get back to it!!
Most people have no idea why we do what we do and most people would have quit after hitting the ground.
But being able to pick yourself back up and keep going says a lot of who you are.
Proud of you and made me a subscriber!
Thank you so much 😁😁
You ride like a girl! And that’s way better than most of us guys lol. So proud of you to see you get up and get back into it. I subscribed as soon as you did that. I’ve been doing this racing thing a long time and I usually hold back on the start. I’m in no hurry to get to the 1st crash. Let the boneheads sort it out while I ride smart and pick the good lines. And you realize everyone you pass is a move forward. Great finish and proof you belong out there too. Having the wind knocked out of you is the most scary feeling, been there several times. I growl like a dog to get the lungs moving again lol. Glad you survived and persevered, that makes you a winner 🎉and you definitely have the skills
Thank you!! I may take it easy on the start, maybe wait a couple seconds after the flag 🤣 starts aren’t too important when you have a couple hours to race!! Thank you for your kind words!!
It sucks that that happened to you right off the start but glad you are okay and were able to keep going. Hope to see more racing/riding videos from you in the future and best of luck as well! You are definitely very tough.
Thank you!! 😁 I plan to post more for sure !
Crashes like that happen to all of us - I think. lol ...but not everyone gets back on and continues on. Congrats for that and the very respectable finish. I got tossed hard at this race as well and got the wind knocked out of me and busted ribs. Also, your video turned out much better than mine due to a bad ratio setting when editing. See you at the next one.
My biggest pet peeve is when I record a whole race and look back to see it wasn’t worth it 🤣😠 thank you!! And I hope you are feeling better now
Holy smokes! Getting smoked like that, getting up and rocking it. Total BADA$$. When I get the wind knocked out of me I don't sound much different! My 13 year old daughter wants to learn to ride and I've been showing her Rachel Gutish vids. I'm adding yours too!
So awesome!! I hope to inspire others girls to get out and rip and have as much fun as I do!
@@josephinegrissom216 the sport needs more women. At the end of the day, more bodies on bikes keeps the sport alive!
Hope your ok good Job on 7th!!! God bless you
Found your channel and watch the crash. Once you got up I hit the subscribe button. Great comeback and gumption !!!!
Thank you!! 😊
Horrendous bar-banging scary start...Incredible rippin without your tail feathers!lol sharing!!!
Haha!! 😂 I can’t believe how much dirt hit my back the whole race. Thank you 😁
Great ride, that was fun to watch...way to persevere!
Prayers
Heck of a recovery your tough racer hope you're do ok!!
Thank you!! All good, just ready for some redemption:)
Wow that was a hard crash! Nice job working back up through the pack!
Thank you!! Ready for redemption next time 😁
Great job getting back out there!
Thank you 💪😁
Good for you for showing some nerve and getting back out there! Take care of yourself.
Thank you!! 😊
Nice riding, good line selection.
Thank you! I love how GNCC has so many choices
You're a rockstar. That was a brutal high speed low side crash. I know how my 51 year old self feels after hitting the ground at probably half that speed. Definitely no bueno. Way to push through it and charge. You had a great ride all things considered. Mucho respect, Josephine!
Do they have two different Sunday A.M. races there like at Ironman?
Thank you very much!! And yes they did a split AM format like Ironman for this round
Way to dust yourself off and get right back in it,,your looking smooth and fast out there,i was hoping you'd hit that hill climb, you can do it!..
I’ll give it a try next year! They are intimidating, but I know once I do it once it will only get easy from there
Not sure how I found this channel but great job. Personally if you had a headache you probably had a slight concussion after the fall. hey you gritted it out and finished. Stopping for gas, your just practicing for Baja 1000 haha
Thank you! You’re probably right, but after driving that far to race I wanted to make sure to at least finish 🤣 dumb things racers do. And maybe one day I’ll need to stop for gas but that definitely wasn’t it 😂 thanks for watching!
Absolutely great ride!! What size bike is that?
It’s a 250! I had a TE 150i before this bike, I am super happy with my decision. I love this new bike
@josephinegrissom216 sounds like a 350. I'm a 2 stroke man, either buying a 250 xc or 350xcf. I live in NE Pennsylvania, the tracks are tighter.
@@RogerBartholomew-cz2cw I am from Oklahoma, we don’t have many single track options here 👎 I’d buy a 2stroke just for Colorado trips if I had oodles of money 🤣
There's no crying in baseball...😅
It would be nice to have an intro and an outro from you.
That’s a good idea, I think I may try to do a voice over bit next time. Thanks!
I dont like the crashing bit. 😢
