最初見始めた時は「この小ささが魅力のコアガンダムなのに、どうして大きくするのだろう。」とか「合体とか出来なくなっちゃうんじゃないの？」って考えてたんですが、いざ再生すると投稿者様から感じられる尊敬とリスペクトの念が素晴らしく、とても感動いたしました。特にヒロトを搭乗させた場所 (7:30) と足の長さを自由に変えられる機構を表現した場所(10:35)。前者は本編ではオンラインゲームの世界、実際に機体に乗り込むと言うことではなく、乗り込むとしても閉鎖的な空間で立って操縦する程度。それを座るコックピット風にする事でヒロトがまるで"本当に"乗って操縦している様に見え、素敵な表現だなと思いました。また後者は、足を自在に高さを変える事が出来る機構にした事でコアガンダム自体の可動域が増え、戦い方が増えると同時に短くして従来のプラネッツ・システムも再現できる様にした点、本当に感動しました。コアガンダムの新たな可能性の瞬間を見る事が出来ました。有難うございます！！

He took the frame part that's inside the thigh armor and made it so it could extend or retract.

This went from a HG model, to a RG or MG model the size of a HG. So much thought was put in it to make it what it is now. I just love that. What makes it seem like a MG or RG is the new knee bend you made, and the fact that you made a cockpit for it. And it comes with a character. I just really love it. I would love to buy one if I could.

God, that knee joint and elongation was like magic. I'd really like a tutorial on JUST how to do that- for the Core Gundams, but also for other kits, elongating or shortening limbs?

I paint warhammer and stumbled across this channel looking at miniature modeling stuff online, not really into the big robot thing but I gotta say his craftsmanship is unbelievable. Watching these videos also inspired me to do TONS of things I wouldn’t have normally just sticking to warhammer channels and really helped me grow in my hobby. Thanks! Keep putting out the amazing content!
Most of the factions in 40k have bigass robots. Some more than others. This guy is effectively kitbashing, to use GW/Warhammer/Citadel parlance.
Undoubtedly the best gundam model maker. Everyone else just does some scribing and sticking extra ready made parts. Ray takes it few levels up all the time. Fantastic to watch!

I look at the finished product and the first word that comes to mind is restraint. Its so simple, so elegant it remains faithful to the original design while still being wholly unique. A master class.

Of course. While the dead giveaway was the silhouette near the end of the video, you can also see that he didn't dp a major modification to the lower part of the legs. The most profound thing he did was added a sliding double knee and change the color of the lower legs. The feet was also barely touched.

Probably only at the Chest, V-Fins and legs the rest needs modification

Mr Ray, would you please list the materials you use in the description in future if possible please. There’s a few of us wondering what the white glue/filler with accelerator spray is and I’ve also seen you use a very malleable putty before but with no idea what that was too.

Pretty sure it's something called 'PLA plate'
So basically the same stuff used in FDM 3D printers, just as a plate instead of a wire

This video this amazing video was what got me back into gunpla and gunpla building and customizing as a whole this hobby used to be essentially my pride and joy I was 14 years old when I started building my gundam kits had basically beginners problems such as whitened plastic nub marks a lot of super glued parts from falling off shelves but I kept getting these kits and building them and improved my building techniques from this amazing community and online vids but around 17-18 I kinda stopped was stressed from home life and school had to put my own hobbies and things I loved doing to the side to take up more responsibilities in my life at the time and whenever I did see some special kits or new releases it just made me overwhelmed that I didn't have the energy nor time to build them so I didn't end up buying kits that I could have wanted and to just have the kits themselves to be stuck in the box or put away for later down the line so I just tried to find other hobbies but couldn't really find anything the way building these kits made me feel proud of my own hard work of building painting and customizing. But then after rewatching gundam 00 and gundam wing I looked at how much kits cost these days compared to years prior and gotta say I miss discount days lol but back after watching those shows I decided to listen to the soundtrack of gundam shows and saw this video pop up on my recommendation and I say fuck it why not see what this guy does and I gotta say after watching him redesign the core 2 blew me away the way he took his time hoe he carefully planned his vision sparked an old love I had for gunpla and now I'm glad I picked this hobby back up again and seeing what newer kits will come and such. And I'm grateful for this vid truly an amazing thing I love coming back and watching occasionally
