Virgin Island Water and Bal D'Afrique are two of my faves. Both amazing unisex fragrances. Please please try Eau de Merveille Bleu by Hermes. I think it's a wonderful scent for spring/summer for both sexes. The amber is warm and inviting but there's a hint of mint that makes it a bit fresh and less cloying. Great video!
You gotta give Mancera's Sicily a try! It's a beautiful citrus fragrance, that opens with a grapefruit/bergamot vibe, and dries down to something more like a tangerine or mandarine orange type accord. Lasts for hours, projects well, and in my view is a serious contender for best citrus fragrance of all time (up there with Nio). In comparison to Nio, it is a lot sweeter and less dry, and there is no neroli of that sort in the scent. Nio and Sicily are two very different kinds of citrus fragrances (with Sicily being more sweet, light and playful, without ever being cloying or sickly), and Nio being a little more dry, serious, and refined. Both are outstanding scents, both have a very "natural" vibe about them, and they are currently tied for my all-time favorite summer fragrances.
Your list makes me want to try Nio and VIW and the Bond. I totally bumble around with summer fragrances. Most just don't compute with my skin for some reason. They either last 2 hours (Milliseme Imperiale) or just end up smelling cheap and like laundry detergent. TF Jasmin Rouge has worked well this summer. And Aventus and of all things Bond's Nuit de Noho has always gotten me more compliments than any fragrance I've ever worn 🙄 with great longevity including in the summer.

But I blind bought Bond No. 9 Eau De New York based on Max's review (Good, Bad, Ugly series) and couldn't be happier. Like Max says, Eau de New York is opulent and cuts through the heat Thanks for the recommendation cause this is my main bottle here and the compliments are non stop!
Great video. I'm currently using GIT as my summer fragrance. Max I am fairly new to the fragrance hobby. Just have a question. I notice that certain sites have huge discrepancies as far as price goes. Luckyscent was the first I found. Thing is they're a lot higher than say Notino or Fragrancenet. I just want to be certain that I would be receiving legit bottles. Who do you recommend? Also I live in NY are there any brick and morter stores in NY with good prices? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do not understand except that most people in Southern California are too stoned, too drunk, too full of attitude, or just simply too stupid to make the effort. Do yourself a favor, buy Dior homme (yes, the lipstick bomb) and brace yourself. To this day,. i have hardly EVER received a compliment, perhaps one with A*men (one of the most hated frags, and the woman LOVED it, go figure) but dior homme, it's just mind boggling how many compliments I get with that darned thing! It's NUTS!

It's too feminine to my nose and too potent. That smell of old woman's bag full of cosmetics was not me. Dior Home Eau is more wearable. In short, I had to sell it.

I know you asked Max and not me, lol, but 1861 Renaissance is also outstanding, but it's a very different kind of citrus scent. Nio has this dry, aromatic, refined quality about it. It's not only one of the best citruses on the market, but one of the best Neroli fragrances as well IMO. The combination makes for a very serious, dry citrus that lasts for hours and projects very well. Renaissance is a completely different animal. As others have remarked, it smells almost more like a mojito, with a very prominent mint note, and a mix citruses like bergamot, lemon, and tangerine. It's also quite nice, but it's a little more boozy and playful. Nio is one that would be appropriate to rock with a suit or slightly more dressy summer attire. 1861 is quite nice, but doesn't quite fit with formal summer, in my view. Nio is a better all-arounder I think, and last even longer, but is somewhat more of an acquired taste, and isn't as immediately crowd-pleasing in my experience (even if it is arguably the best citrus fragrance on the market). Anyway, I hope that helps somewhat. I'm curious as to Max's perspective as well.
You have to expand your base and get out of this Creed hype. There are much better fragrances out there. Have you tried the summer offerings from Profumum Roma? Probably not.
I personally feel that Kobe is the better fragrance overall, but Nio is a better fragrance for the summer, being that it is one of the most authentic smelling bergamot and neroli blends of all time. I imagine Max feels similarly, although obviously I can't speak for him.
