Back in my day we called it school. You started with a layup as kindergarten and that one you couldn’t chance if you missed. Then you went 1st thru 12th around the perimeter and had to make a half court shot, which was considered college to win.
From one BMW owner to another, the rim will crack and loose tire pressure from a small pot hole. The rims are too low profile and are cast aluminum. I actually went from 19s to 18s and the problem has been less frequent. They don't look as cool, I know. However they are more practical. If you want to hit potholes and have almost no problems look into after market rims with billet aluminum or composite metals. They seem to be a bit more sturdy. Another route is to buy a Porsche Carrera and you wont have any issues. I've yet to need a new rims on either the rear 20's or the 19's in over 4 years of city driving. Just a better brand quality overall. Love the way German cars drive.
The rim could be cracked, letting out a small hissing sound. It's not always a tire. Rims and low profile tires done mix, bubbie has so little tread that wouldn't pass inspection. Your best bet is getting a 45 or 50 size sidewall tire that's a little harder, will last far longer than lower profile softer tires
