Dragonflies-juvenile Great Blue Skimmer

Dragonflies won't bite if they land on you. But if you trap one in your hand, it CAN bite. It usually cannot break the skin. But a large one might! Watch the video to see its mandibles (jaws) in action! BTW, this is a juvenile Great Blue Skimmer. As it matures to an adult, it will turn light blue.
