i still think it’s interesting how the turtles share traits with her - leo’s cunningness, raph’s occasional third person speech, donnie’s love of dancing, i haven’t found one for mikey yet. maybe as a big mama lover i’m thinking way too much into it but i always found that interesting, especially with how you see it a lot in leo’s strategist mind, and how once you realize how many traits leo shares with young splinter and big mama it makes his line in “Down With The Sickness” about how he’s splinter’s least favourite son curious and sadder.

Come to think of it, there’s tons of stuff from Rise that needs to be in the next show (snarky genius Donnie, Raph being more than just the angry one, the presence of yokai in addition to mutants, Splinter’s past as a kung fu b-movie star in between being exiled from the Hamato clan and getting mutated, the Turtles being Splinter’s “sons” by virtue of being injected with his DNA).
I am not going to lie when I say that I watched all the teenage ninja Ninja turtles growing up and even though I'm 25 I still watch the teenage mutant Ninja turtles. And out of my top five villains she has to be my favorite a number one. She is well written and she quickly without a doubt blew my expectations away. Whoever created her and played her voice actor is needs a reward.
Honestly I feel like big mama is more based off of the Tsuchigumo than Jorogumo because of her spider form and her variety of ways to manipulate people
Had the series continued I have a really good episode idea. Big Mama tries to re-create the experiment that made the turtles but she uses frogs instead. Creating a new version of the Punk Frogs. The episode would be called Mamas Boys.

Aren't Yokai in this world born the way they are while mutants were all created by either Baron Draxum or his Oozequitos? They shouldn't both exist through mutagen.

Well, Big Mama does have a Dr. Delicate Touch side I think when you steal from her.
I'd say her and Mikey share the ability to make people underestimate them and make them feel at ease with their demeanor.
