Vinayak Netke is an exceptional tabla player and music composer from Mumbai, renowned for his collaborations with legends such as Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Padmashri Hariharan, Ustad Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Padmashri Suresh Wadkar, Rekha Bhardwaj, Rahul Deshpande, and Gana Saraswati Kishori Amonkar.
Beyond his work with iconic singers, Vinayak has also contributed to the world of film and television. His debut as a music director, for the Hindi feature film Michael starring Naseeruddin Shah, included composing the background score, which was showcased at the Toronto Film Festival, London Asian Film Festival, and Shanghai International Film Festival. He continued his cinematic journey with another feature, Music Meri Jaan, and has scored for films like Miss Tanakpur and Traffic.
Vinayak's rhythmic talents can be heard in the acclaimed instrumental version of the National Anthem, alongside maestros like Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. His compositions extend to television, including Amitabh Bachchan's first fictional work. He has collaborated with notable composers such as Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal Bhardwaj, Wadali Brothers, and Pritam. His tabla performances can also be heard in prominent ad campaigns for Intel and Google, as well as UTV’s popular signature track.
