Thank you and your channel, it's helped me meal prep for a little less than a year. I started at 270 now I'm down to 195. So many choices, every week is different. I'm glad to be a citizen of Snack City!
So happy I found your channel man. Up to 193 from 160 over the last 1.5 years (I’m 27), and looking to hit 210 before next summer to do a big cut. These means are a lifesaver and give me the confidence to strive for this!
So basically you are bulking and cutting, my man, dont do that, you will just end up adding too much fat, and you will have to cut for a good year if you dont want to lose those muscles you built under. You cant lose more than 1% total bodyweight per week if you want to keep muscles provided your protein intake and macros are accurate. If you want muscles just add a hundred cals over maintenance and start with that, track what happens in a month progress and adjust slightly.
@@wisemanj2934 don’t worry, I am not dirty bulking or putting on too much fat. I’m aiming for just under 0.5 lbs per week which is not excessive I started with a really small frame with zero lifting experience, so my body weight/strength/size shot up. I’m also focusing on powerlifting right now so eating more than 100cal surplus is good for me. Trying to build the big lifts up too.
@@dojyr3130 okay I get it now. Me I went from 155 to 230. Past a certain weight, the drawbacks are that I didnt looked as leaned with the 6 packs and all no matter how hard I tried to recomp, more weight led to unhealthy fluctuations and unbalancing of hormones profile. I went back down to 200 where now my sleep is way better and energy level wayyyy better. Gotta hit that sweet spot lol. Glad you are not dirty bulking, keep going!
It's Sunday evening over here and I was just thinking about what I should cook for my Sunday meal prep, and it looks like I have my answer now. Thanks for the inspiration.
I absolutely love your videos! I just turned 18, living on my own for some time now, i have full week of studying and working out and i just love this type of videos you make. Its perfect, im not very good at cooking but with your videos its much easier and your recepies have everything i need, wow. I can cook for the whole week don't have to cook everyday and it saves alot of time and with you putting there the calories and everything as well its just perfect really. I am very glad i've found your channel, keep up the good work man, love it. 😁
I don't particularly use your recipes for gaining or losing weight, I just like your taste in food. I made this recipe for me and my roommate yesterday, and even though I didn't have a big enough pot for all the ingredients and had to cut down a bit (mainly just by not adding chicken broth) it still turned out delicious, especially the next day. You've saved my wallet and my body from the terrors of fast food, and I'll always be a fan.
I’ve only seen the frozen burrito video and this video, and I can already tell this channel is a gold mine for meal prep that actually taste good. Good lord I sound like a bot
man, this channel is too god. exactly what I needed going back to gym after working out bodyweight with caloric deficit and tired of eating the same meals over and over again. so much variety and easy to prep food! thanks mate
We are spartan Josh today just a few ppl knows what nutrition is, im a cook and i always taking care about my food specialy when you are single, keep it up, amen broder
great meal! something to keep in mind however is that beans actually suppress your appetite, making the meal harder to consume. i’d suggest swapping some or all of them with broccoli, boiled eggs on top, and/or parmesan cheese as it is a very high protein cheese.
you are the most beautiful being on this planet man wow this helps me so much, keep it up, more high cal high protein stuff please!!! :) EDIT: im a student living in a dorm (i dont have an oven) so i really appreciate how easy this was to make, you literally just used a pot
I just found this out recently, but if you lower the power level of the microwave to say half and increase the amount of time for heating, you don't need to stir. I freeze mine so that turns out to be about 10 min for half the power, but if you don't freeze them, you can just make a circular space in the middle of the food and heat normally and that way everything will cook evenly.
Haven't watched the full video yet- so feel free to bash me if you mention this at the end.. I think scaling the serving size down would help out calories, and using a little less pasta as well. Otherwise that looks amazingingly filling and healthy!
Nap city sent me through the moon! you are such a fool. never change. Not even a fan of this recipe personally, but might try it because my meal prep has gotten so much more fun since we opened snack city
Thank you sooo much for your videos. I started meal prepping about 3 weeks ago and your recipes are exactly what I needed to get started. You are always offering alternatives and describing how and why you do it - That's exactly what I needed. Looking forward to more delicious recipes.
I have watched too many TH-cam cooking videos since the first Food wishes video came out and this is the first time I’ve been told the temp of the myard reaction so great on you
Josh coming in clutch! Just finished prepping the Hambulker meal for the next couple weeks and was wondering what else I could prep to help with bulk season. Excellent timing!
Nice WSM reference on the mattress plug lol love the meal prep plans you have, currently trying to save up to get the key equipment i need to start doing it myself. As a 33 yr old with bad spine and leg injury I'm gingerly trying to exercise more and eat better to get healthy, so having a good solid idea of how much food this will make, the calories involved, the macros, etc is definitely needed to make sure I'm getting enough energy from my food vs. what I'm putting out in my job (retail) and training. Keep it going man, looking forward to more!
This is a great one! I'm on the road a lot during the week for work. I'd love some meal prep that I don't have to reheat so I can keep it in a cooler in my car.
Hi there! Great supporter (and eater) of your recipes! During the week I only eat meal preps now, you made this happen. Quick note: on your site this recipe states to make 7 servings, in the vid you make 5 servings. I assume its the latter ;) Keep up the great cooking (and bulking).
It was good on the first day, but after storing the in the fridge over night it was kinda dry and tasteless. Any tips on how to make it more moist and flavorful?

More high calorie stuff please❤️❤️❤️
Got it 👍

I would recommend crushed tomatoes over diced. Crushed tomatoes are peeled first, diced tomatoes have the skin on which I find unpleasant in food.
