Please do more content about modern games, what you playing, your thoughts, etc. Its not some kind of stigma to be playing new games, and also a lot of indie games a great homages to the old titles. So please, be more open, as retro stuff is interesting, but why limit yourself :)
I'll never forget beating Tekken Tag with 1 credit. I had played it at home for hours, by the time i played it in the arcade i dominated that dang game. I was there for Tekken 1, and GTA 1,2 London1969. Getting old. I remember when MK hit the arcade and Street Fighter looked like it was about to die, but once the buzz wore off people split their time between the two. I definitely remember SF2 cabinets standing abandoned and swarms of us kids around the MK cabs, it's a memory that will be with me for the rest of my days. I remember glancing over at the SF2 area and feeling like we abandoned it or something LOL! Like an old friend we dropped like a bad habit for the new kid on the block.
My Top 5 Franchises'd have to be. 1. Zelda----Almost every single entry save for the DS games. 2. Dynasty Warriors----Nearly every single entry save for DW9. 3. Love the new format for Top 5 Friday. I also like God of War 1,2, and 3 more than the new one, but my favorite is actually God of War Ghost of Sparta. The only Megaman games I've played were pixel modded so I haven't had a true Megaman experience yet. Great video guys!

Billy, did you ever play Contra 4 on the Nintendo DS? If not, then it's well worth a look if you're looking for a good Contra game made after the 16-bit era.
Contra 4 is great. Also, Blazing Chrome is the best “Contra” game since the 16 bit era. Amazing game despite not being an actual Contra game. Must play for Contra fans.
cool, i havent tried that one yet. i'll have to give it a looksee. another good one is hard corps: uprising for ps3 and 360. not an official contra title, but it pretty much is the same gameplay, and it was published by konami (i believe).

We spent the entire summer playing that game, bringing memory cards to a different house. We also got the nes nostalgia mems a few years later and cracked beers replaying the legend of Zelda…. I'm down with Mega Man being a top 5 franchise. I'm not sure about all the stuff that came out during the 2000s but outside that Mega Man has always been solid. I like sliding in my Mega Man games damn it!!! ... But yes Mega Man 2 is the greatest I'll give you that.

Oh and Billy if you read this, you're 100% on BotW... the shrines were dull, samey, lacked personality, redundant. The world it'self was dope, but Zelda needs proper dungeons and more variety in aesthetics. Graphics were gorgeous and reminded me of the art from the original manual, but the whole shrine mechanic, lack of dungeons and breaking weapons drug this one down fosho!
It's hard because there are so many series and none of them are pristine from top to bottom. But I personally would go 1. Elder Scrolls 2. Fallout 3. GTA 4. Final Fantasy 5. Diablo There are some franchises that only have a few games so it's hard to put them in a franchises list yet but Horizon and Last of Us are both stellar with only 2 games so far.
Link to the past is amazing. BotW was pretty dope but i feel overrated. The "dungeons" or lack thereof really drug it down. Shrines felt redundant and samey. Game lacked personality like former titles i agree with Billy.
I wanna say you did a top 5 Zelda games with Wood, or maybe Billy did shortly after Breath of the Wild came out. I remember a Zelda ranking video though.
@Jay you mentioned the camera for some of the 3D Zelda games, what's your issue with it? For me I get motion sickness so I can't play certain games with a fast Moving camera, so Games in the First person perspective I stay the fuck away from lol.
Mine would have to be: GTA, God of war. Far Cry. (can't say Metroid cuz I played some of them and not all of them,can't say Zelda cuz that's the same... Just the same as final fantasy I played most of those but not all of them.) Then tomb raider and my number one will be Castlevania.... Uncharted 4 is probably my most replayed game on the PS4. Completed it entirely and its just amazing. I agree with Jay.

The world it'self was dope, but Zelda needs proper dungeons and more variety in aesthetics. Graphics were gorgeous and reminded me of the art from the original manual, but the whole shrine mechanic, lack of dungeons and breaking weapons drug this one down fosho!
It's hard because there are so many series and none of them are pristine from top to bottom. But I personally would go
1. Elder Scrolls
2. Fallout
3. GTA
4. Final Fantasy
5. Diablo
There are some franchises that only have a few games so it's hard to put them in a franchises list yet but Horizon and Last of Us are both stellar with only 2 games so far.

Link to the past is amazing. BotW was pretty dope but i feel overrated. The "dungeons" or lack thereof really drug it down. Shrines felt redundant and samey. Game lacked personality like former titles i agree with Billy.
My top 5: Zelda, Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Metroid, Final Fantasy
I wanna say you did a top 5 Zelda games with Wood, or maybe Billy did shortly after Breath of the Wild came out. I remember a Zelda ranking video though.
@Jay you mentioned the camera for some of the 3D Zelda games, what's your issue with it? For me I get motion sickness so I can't play certain games with a fast Moving camera, so Games in the First person perspective I stay the fuck away from lol.

Something wrong with one of your camera lens? When it cuts to it theres a small spot on my TV. Doesn't do that with the other cameras. Just curious.

Mine would have to be: GTA, God of war. Far Cry. (can't say Metroid cuz I played some of them and not all of them,can't say Zelda cuz that's the same... Just the same as final fantasy I played most of those but not all of them.) Then tomb raider and my number one will be Castlevania.... Damn then I just realized resident evil is also one of my favorites... Maybe I should do a top 10. Ha
