Soviet MT-LB 05578 is the first of the MT-LB series of 35th scale kits released from Trumpeter. MT-LB is a lightly armored Soviet tractor, used up to this day in many various roles. The vehicle serves as a platform for combat and APC use, Medical carrier and Rescue/Peacekeeping missions. MT-LBs are used in some of EU countries for Emergency /#112/ units. MT-LBs are especially useful for those missions during harsh winter periods.
It was designed in the Soviet Union during the 60s and introduced in the late years of the decade. It was built at the Kharkiv Tractor Plant and under license in Poland by Huta Stalowa Wola and Bulgaria.
MT-LBs are still in used and in total more than 20 countries, including United States of America.
Since 1979 it participated in every notable war on the planet. It served as a platform for 2S1 Howitzer /Gvozdika/. There are many different MT-LB variants, most notable being the standard MT-LB, MT-LB 6MA /Trumpeter 05579 - amzn.to/2mmrOST/ and MT-LB 6B /Trumpeter 05580 - amzn.to/2mmmejl/ and of course, ZU-23 equipped version which is anti-aircraft platform, probably soon to be released by Trumpeter.
The kit here /as the others too/ feature full interior, complete engine, transmission, workable tracks and a lot of camo schemes included OOTB.
The quality is superb and the kit is very highly recommended!
