I personally own quite a few clones Have a XK1 my self paid 400 for it in NY last August in Long Island... i aquired an Roland VK8 ,Korg BX3 1999 and 1979 version, And the Hammond XB1,XB2,XM module with xmc2 drawbar controller XB5 dual manaul very rare ,1973 Hammond X5. Too much to list. My B3 sounds come from clonewheels. With a neo Vent..2 vents top and bottom have seperate leslie sims
That's great!! They work and work. Hammond Suzuki can repair them. What are you playing it through? I use a 1122 interface and connect mine to a Leslie 142 or an 1147 and connect it to a Leslie 145. In a convention ballroom - it Rocks Daniels.
In your professional opinion, do you think the xk series make a good attempt at sounding like the real b3? I have an xk1c that I have in my keyboard rig at church. Although it isn’t the real thing, I still take pride that my church has some sort of Hammond in it. To God be the glory. God bless you sir. You are a blessing to many musicians.
No sir. The organ has to be properly wired or have the proper interface kit for the Leslie you are using. For example, to play this keyboard through a Leslie 147 - I use a Leslie 1147 interface kit and to play it through a Leslie 122 - I use a Leslie 1122 interface kit.
Can you do a tutorial on how to set up the interface kit or the rewiring process? Also just for clarification I have a Leslie 51 so I would need a Leslie 151 interface kit??
@@zay2k709 - There is no interface kit for the 51. I guess you can change the relay in the 1147 but I have not done that. I just use a 147 or 122 amp. The relays made by Leslie are the 1147 and 1122 for the 147/145 and 122/142. I will be happy to do a video showing the 1147 kit in a few days though.
@@ncilmo I love the B 3 sound. I’m not a key player but I love that sound so much that years ago I bought a B to use it in my blues band. We took it everywhere. Keep going, it keeps us young!! 🤠🤠
There’s a person on reverb trying to sell this piano on reverb for almost a million dollars and there’s nothing that could make it worth that money, it’s not even owned by a celebrity so that seller who’s selling this piano for a million is out of their mind

Love the tiny chair! Sounds awesome. The xk-2 was my first introduction to the Hammond organ.
LOL It was low to the floor which is where the keyboard was at the time. LOL I was just happy that it played fine after 10 years in storage.

I believe that it is. If I were playing often, I would buy the XK5.

Yes - I take it to church conferences and conventions - to the hotel ball room when there is no Hammond. Thank you so very much.

I had not played that keyboard in at least 10 years. But I played plenty of other keyboard instruments over that time period. :)

The XK series does not have internal speakers. It is a professional keyboard that requires an external speaker or Leslie to be heard.
