I have no idea how Reed could believe so much NUSA can save her while they literally turned her into a cyber monster! I wouldn't give even her body to NUSA, i bet they would run tests and try to bring her back. She even says Myers could bring her back from hell, perhaps she was already dead and was resurrected as a cyborg. She is sure 90% chrome, just fucked up shit, Reed supposed to help us kill Myers...
She was the one of the very few who could hack into Blackwall, thus the President would do a lot to keep Somi alive to keep using her, I believe Reed is just following the President's order to the T because only the president has the resources to save his most precious surbordinate.
I prefer to tell Reed straight up when he finds Somi's body that it was mercy killing. I want it to haunt him all the way. He covers his face with his hands and stays like that for a moment.
Man, both paths are so well done, its hard to decide which is better. This one definitely hit me more emotionally though. The music, her pleas to mercy kill her, V's shaking hands - it's incredible.
A better path was never meant to be offered, but you’ll know you’ve made the right call under either of them, regardless of the outcome. That’s CDPR’s storytelling for you.
The only right choice is to end songs life. Why? Sending her to the moon will result her being a labrat for Mr. blue eyes. Basically her worst nightmare becoming reality. Or you give her to the NUSA where she will also be a labrat for the rest of her life.
I think this is the best choice. She ended up being a tool for the government, and she was tired of it. When it was time for me to pick her fate, i remembered how Alex (rip) felt, how reed has no emotion throughout the game and how much i dislike the president. I also asked my self 'what would Johnny do?'. In the end, setting songbird (so mi) free gave her the peace she was looking for.
I didn’t want her to just give up and let her live meyers told me they could help her but won’t let me contact her I feel stupid ima go back and let her go in peace.

that look back with the theme kicking was perfectly done and then him walking away with that dialogue, they nailed this ending.

There is no "good" ending for everyone involved, yet I think this is one of the better ones
