I like the Norman ballcap although I only wear the comfort fit style and not the trucker hat with that yucky snap back. Is there a option for a comfort fit ballcap style? Sorry to be a Debbie Downer... LoL. Is the quoted, "Elastic band." a solid back on the hat or is it a snap-back style?
Hello Matt, nice video, these are the kind I like. Here's a tip, I am born and raised here 76 years and have lived in the Bush many of those years. I never take a any kind of pad with me, when I get to a camping spot Winter or Summer, I lay Spruce boughs down, They are comfortable, insulate from the cold and smell good as well. Hope to see more videos like this. When will we start seeing your wife in the videos? Thanks for sharing.
Glad you made it back safe !!! Looks so cold out in the trails, I know I’m not brave enough but thanks for taking us alone , that way I get to enjoy !!!!!
Love this adventure thank you for taking us along and also love your music 🎵 love the music as you are putting the tent up. Stay warm and safe. Love from Ohio
I watched your video last night and I Loved it. Wow the scenery and animals are amazing. That was some fire pit. It looked like a lot of fun. Thank you
Your comment about the contrast between the scenery you find where you live and the cities you've been to reminded my of this lyric, "God made the mountains, God made the sky. God made the people, God knows why. He fixed up the planet as best as he could and in come the people and gum it up good" The First Thing You Know, from Paint Your Wagon.
Good vid Matt. Enjoying the last of winter. We have show showers today in east KY covering all the blooming trees. The eclipse Monday. Fun camp out especially with heat
Great video! I envy you Matt, I used to be able to do the camping in the wilderness thing, but age has caught up with me, so I enjoy watching someone else, it brings back memories. Beautiful country, and definitely the last wilderness untouched by man. Enjoy your youth and keep making videos for us older ones.
That was cool! Can't wait for the next video. Whenever I'm watching your channel, I am questioning my sanity and wondering if this city life even makes sense. I miss our mountain cottage back in my home country 😢
Great video! One thought for a better sleep....a cot. There are many that fold down compactly and weigh next to nothing. Throw an Eddie Bauer down blanket on the cot and your sleeping bag ...good to go. Rough sleeps suck! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Cool adventure! Burning those damn fossil fuels!lol😊. Love your voice and narration, and music!❤. If I were to purchase some of your music, am I able to use it on my TH-cam videos? Just curious. Anyway, love your channel…Timmy turned me on to it!😊
I noticed your Ski Doo Summit. A great sled but not usually considered a freight hauler to the back country. Do you prefer that over something like a Skandic?
I’d love to have a sled for every occasion but since I mostly was mountain riding when I bought it, it’s what I got. Definitely would prefer a super wide 900 turbo for this kind of mission 👀👀…but the summit does the job just fine. Hauled lots of wood and gear with mine many times. Thanks for watching.
I've watched about half of your video but I can't imagine WHY anyone would think this was fun. Too cold and dangerous for this old lady! You guys enjoy your miserable trip!
American's and Canadians are notorious in finding bad spots for their camping. How can you put your tent in the middle of the open area, if In the middle of the night starts some storm or heavy wind you're tent will be blown away.
Ecclesiastes 5:1 King James Version 5 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Gods blessings over you .
Arg at some point the same music gets repetitive. Sorry. I've heard it over and over again in the other videos. At time's it's better to just have nature sounds or silence
lol last frontier?....really......do you not remember passing through a lil country called Canada?....You can hardly miss it, its only like 20 times the size of alaska with so much uninhabited space its not even funny....and we can even grow things here....unlike where you are and a large part of Canada. I live in Toronto and if I drive like 5 hrs....there are huge chucks of the country where you could pretty much get lost for yrs. Ideally if I was you I would just move to the Yukon or northern BC cuz then you are getting paid in Us money and from the exchange rate you get 35% more.
christopher480, You are wrong, Canada is only 7 times larger than Alaska but, you are comparing a state to a country. If you want to compare countries, the U.S is larger than Canada. By the way, I am born and raised in Alaska 76 years now and will never live anywhere else, especially Canada with laws rules and regulations.
You’re both right, alaska looks awesome. from the videos I’ve seen , it looks like a paradise. I’m eastern Canadian and Canada is awesome too, rules and regulations don’t affect my outdoor activities. I snowmobile, atv, hike. I have 2 family log cabins and a cottage. I catch and eat cod fish, salmon, trout, squid, mackerel, etc. I hunt moose, rabbits, caribou, ptarmigan, etc. it’s not a competition, we are all lucky to be able to access areas like this and do the things we love. Great video!

Timmy!! Just watched the Iditarod start with ya! Y’all are great folks to follow
Timmmmyy!!!!!🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Hi Timmy! Just watched your last video when you posted…awesome!
Lol, that is what I was thinking. Nothing like the sinking feeling one gets when a machine fails you after many miles into the froze back country.
That gave me anxiety! Never thought a video could do that

Just use some baking powder with super glue and it will be hard as steel... Just a tip for these type of expeditions...

You could have used some of those pine boughs as a barrier between you and the snowy bottom of the tent. ✌️🐾🇱🇷
Great video! As always. I found Timmy here…lol…both awesome channels….always put a smile on my face!😂
Welcome back . Great video
I subscribed to Steve's channel. Alaskan adventure content creators are some of the best on TH-cam.

Thanks for a great video. We missed some of your meals. :) Bring the rifle next time! ..and bring Timmie too... LoL.
Hell yes man what a great video
Doesn’t matter how old young men get, they will always be silly when bevving
Good luck to you x
Awesome video!
One question : Why don't snow machines have electric push button starters like everything else now days ?
Batteries don't like cold weather
I really don't know though because they could have both
Yea , where is Norman ? Hello Matt from South Jersey. 🙋♀️🐶♥️🙏
Great video! One thought for a better sleep....a cot. There are many that fold down compactly and weigh next to nothing. Throw an Eddie Bauer down blanket on the cot and your sleeping bag ...good to go. Rough sleeps suck! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Caribou hides for insulating under your sleeping bag my guy. Complete insulation from the ground, and they don’t pop.
time to buy a four stroke no recoil on them and the starters on them are supper good i have had mine start just fine at -30 to -40 just fine
You sound like Mike Rowe
23.00 otter tracks, not beaver! Great ride and video!
Great video....:)
the reason of whiskey 🥃 he jumped on the fire..!!!😅

Great adventure bro luv it but 20 gallons of fuel ? Must be a long haul be safe out there

So I have a question. When does your warm weather start?
Typically between mid April and May it starts to stay above freezing.
@@alaskacabinadventures Thank you 😊
“My recoil just broke” immediately shuts off the sled 🤦♂️
I’m pretty good with a clutch start, and I was gonna need to test the recoil to decided if I was gonna continue.
@@alaskacabinadventures
Fair enough.
Looked like a fun adventure! 👍
Cool! This is going to be a gooder! You always deliver so I am really looking forward to a great snowmobile adventure. >@^_*@
I love the chair. What is it?
I've watched about half of your video but I can't imagine WHY anyone would think this was fun. Too cold and dangerous for this old lady! You guys enjoy your miserable trip!
American's and Canadians are notorious in finding bad spots for their camping. How can you put your tent in the middle of the open area, if In the middle of the night starts some storm or heavy wind you're tent will be blown away.
What's the r-value on your sleeping pad?
You have a cargo sled...get a cot!!!! HA HA
I’m Aussie so know nothing about snow machines but do they make snow machines with electric starts?
Great episode! Didn't you once say your wife has a channel? If so, what's the name of it? TIA!
Nice thick bed of spruce boughs for your sleep would work
Would pine boughs piled high help to sleep on?
Wouldn’t raising yourself off the ground to sleep be better temp and comfort ?
You co.uld have cut boughs from the trees and put them under your pad to sleep off the ground.
you might need a new clutch
Ecclesiastes 5:1
King James Version
5 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Gods blessings over you .
Don't like cutting trees, what could be an alternate option, may be LPG cylinder 30 kg for a night to keep us warm and for cooking food as well
These are dead trees. But yes, they make gas heaters for these tents too
How deep is the snow in that video?
Is it legal in Alaksa to cut random trees or is this public property? I guess a private owner would not be happy if everyone did this.
Meow.
Doesn't that snowmobile have an electric starter?
Arg at some point the same music gets repetitive. Sorry. I've heard it over and over again in the other videos. At time's it's better to just have nature sounds or silence
Spruce boughs for your bed my man
*promosm*
Ski doo junk
