4:50 to that point, i'm more optimistic that the defense will be better this week. You can tell by the moves the Bengals made in the off-season they have a plan to tighten things up when necessary and they have right people in the those rooms.
Defensive line injuries. No Mimms. No Tee. Burrow doesn't look quite right. Much adversity very early. The boys are going to need significant improvement to achieve success this week.
Totally agree. Also want to say, WTF Goodell? How do the back to back Super Bowl champs open the season with two home games? Really? However, shout out to PDJ for pointing out Joe Burrow excels when on the road as an underdog. Add that Joe’s had success in Arrowhead specifically and there’s room for cautious optimism. Here’s hoping the coaches can right the ship sooner rather than later and the D tightens up. The Chiefs have their own problems, after all.
I feel like as a bengals fan I just really want to dunk my head in dog crap here lol. Good for these guys with their happy every week octopus offense with people even coming back and unlimited options and winning happiness kiss my asssssssssssss lol
Think of this! KC starts with 2 of the toughest teams in the AFC North at home and to top that they get an extra 3 days of rest to take on the Bengals. This reminds me of the old days when the Steelers in their playoff runs the NFL heads would schedule the tough teams at home for Pittsburgh. And to top that off they would play on a Thursday night then turn around and not play Till Monday night of the following week! Looks like the NFL is going to start the same thing with KC.
You can see the doom coming. With our remaining trio of #4 wrs in the 2/3 rolls...Spags is gonna take Chase out of the game as the rest arent threats down field. Then of course if Chase has 4 catches for 38 yards hes gonna be angry making a bad situation worse. It seems the only way this fate is avoided is a breakout game by #88 or better yet #81.
How can Rice play and how can the league continue to ignore an illegal formation on EVERY single offensive snap by the chiefs..:like going there what feels like every season it’s exhausting
Because they are waiting to see what the legal process does. Many times these cases are domestic violence issues and somthey have a quicker hook. Regarding the offensive line they were, Jawaan Taylor was the most penalized player in the nfl last week. The O-line was penalized last week as well. This is not a nfl bias.
The Bengals played poorly last week, to say the least. They didn't tackle well. Burrow seemed off for whatever reason, dropped a tough pass in the endzone, didnt secure the ball going into the endzone and fumbles, fumbles a punt, holding when Burrow scrambled for positive yards, bad coaching decision(The punt).......SO FRUSTRATING to watch......All of that and yet the Bengals still had a chance to win at the end.
The injuries, Higgins, Mims, Murphy, etc., just serve to provide excuses. To look as poor as they did versus a rebuilding team at home in front of a sellout crowd where the only comments are "have to watch film" or "felt we had a good game plan" or "more reps in practice" etc, is insulting. Bengals were not ready. An entire training camp and pre-season wasted quite frankly. Bengals have players on their roster who have NOT improved since being drafted. They have players who have been highly advertised only to stink, they have players who have regressed. Coaching, a Defensive Coordinator, who was once high on teams lists for head coaching vacancies who regressed into an after thought where you wonder if they will even keep their CURRENT job anymore. This organization lacks the progress and improvement you would expect to this point. Are they any good or just lucky? Apparently that trip to the Super Bowl a few years ago can be attributed to the foot of McPherson and just pure luck. Opportunities to take this team and continue to make it better, make progress towards being an elite team continue to be bogged down by poor drafting, poor low budget free agent acquisitions, injuries to the few ACTUAL IMPACT players on the team, coaches who seem like daycare counselors, not disciplined instructors. There are only a handful of those guys now who are impact players. No running game STILL so a non-impact backfield and Offensive Line. Soft defenders who can neither cover, tackle, or rush the passer. A few impact players, like Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Hendrickson, and a roster full of soft stagnant non-impact players who cannot make any sort of difference yet they KEEP being brought back. Drew Sample, Trayveon Williams, Chris Evans, Trenton Irwin, Andrei Losivas, Charlie Jones, Joseph Ossai, Cameron Sample, Joe Bachie, Daxton Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, DJ Ivey, DJ Turner, Cody Ford, Tycen Anderson, have I named enough? You would think someone they drafted in the defensive secondary would FINALLY make some sort of REAL impact. As a matter of fact, anyone they have drafted lately besides Burrow and Chase who can make some contributions that would stand out? Mims, Murphy, Burton, Chase Brown, ANYBODY???? Just faces in a crowd on a team that looks completely lost under leadership who also looks lost. I guess in week 18 they will still be looking at film wondering what to do next. I don't listen to any of these local Cincy podcasters or reporters, they ignorant and in denial of the fact this is not a good football team.
This makes me ROALMAO Mahomes is a family and and cares about what he does and what he's doing he is a great man for the Kansas city community and takes pride in what he does
What rivalry? One team has three Super Bowls and are back-to-back champions and have owned the AFC for the past six years and one team just recently became relevant three years ago only had one Super Bowl of appearances in the AFC championship and lost to the bum patriots in week one so please remind me how is this a rivalry?
This is a rivalry game based solely on our recent success against the Chiefs. I’m a die hard Bengals fan but this game won’t be close. Chiefs will run off on us Sunday.
Unfortunately I don’t think the Bengals have a good season, it already started out negative with the whole Chase thing, all the injuries on the D line and now Tee (AGAIN!!!) plus Burrow doesn’t even remotely look good at all, this may be another regression year. Sucks but I don’t think this is the year and unfortunately I think that window is slammed shut
You echo my thoughts. Beyond getting absolutely smoked this Sunday, I don’t see good things for this season (or future seasons). Taylor is a horrible coach and I think Joe has peaked.
@@MDK384 true and I’ll forever root for the boys, but it’s kinda hard to get excited for them when they play a stinker like they did, plus all the hype in the offseason getting everybody hype for this team to just come out and lay down.

This made me laugh. 😂
On paper were toast. This could be sf in week 2 of 2020. Or maybe we'll be shocked and it will be sf of 23?

Can we get the doctor back to talk about what he's seeing with shiesty?

The superbowl window is passing the bengals by fast. When u got a superstar receiver u gotta win early then trade him

Well I mean it's pretty even. A Bengals loss on Sunday would just make them tied 3-3 against each other but whatever.
This was a nice polite conversation. But all four of you know that the Chiefs are going obliterate my Bengals on Sunday. It’s not going to be pretty.

Bills/Chiefs > Bengals/Chiefs
Have the Bills beat the Chiefs, or played them in 2 AFC Championship games?
