@@cyrusmagnus no actually it’s currently still in alpha, but the play style is very reminiscent of old school MMOs. As is the graphics I guess you could say lol
@@Mikelzebub Those chat boxes with the hits and such in them remind me straight up of early 00's muds, which I enjoyed. Almost made me want to go fire up a mud client. I guess I just don't get the appeal of these super retro looking games when things like Unreal Engine exist and are free to develop with.
@ they actually had more realistic graphics lined up but they scaled them back so they could focus more time/energy on developing the mechanics and breadth of the game. It was a time management choice, I’m ok with it tbh, especially now they’ve hit a stride with updating and adding content. The game is fun to play
@@Mikelzebub That makes sense. I mean, after a decade they still don't have a finished game, might as well release what they do have and hope for the best. $40 seems kind of ridiculous to be a pre-alpha tester of a game that may never actually get a 1.0, but for hard core lovers of the concept, I get it. If Pantheon were what it set out to be back at its inception, it'd be really cool.
Is this game from the 90's then?
