Mack Jensen I'm not sure. I think the program used in this demo comes with it, but I am not sure. This program is mostly for sounds, though, not for recording and editing.
I think the MalletStation is a great midi device and the possibilities endless - unfortunately, no-one seems to be able to connect it to PreSonus to do what is demonstrated in above video, which is a bit sad. Only quick start guides are available. These do not explain how to setup zones, special instruments for the gap caps or how to use an expression pedal. Would love to receive a link to proper / full documentation to do what is demonstrated in this video!
I connect my malletSTATION to my iPhone and use GarageBand to operate, but I found some delay/time lag between "hitting the pad" to "produce sound". Any solution to this problem?
Is it possible to buy more gap caps in order to use them as note bars and the standard white pads as gaps? Just wondering, in case the caps are noticeably quieter than the regular pads.
Recently purchased. However using this thing with the "bundled" "presonus studio one 4 artist" is an absolute nightmare. You'd think it'd be easy to change the motor (tremolo) speed with one of the faders (and that that would happen out of the box) I have yet to figure it out.
As this instrument is usb powered, would I be able to trigger the excellent vibraphone patches via midi in to my Yamaha MO 6, with this controller? In short does it have a midi in/out port? Would I also be able to use a standard quarter inch jack sustain pedal to achieve note sustain with this unit? Thanks!
I have notice that wth hitting my EM1 pads/bars wth no matter how mellow of a mallet, everytime I strike a key it makes such a thumping sound that drives me nuts, and it cannot be my Stand I do not believe as I have the very best poss. If anyone here has the same issue, can you tell me what you use to quiet the racket? If anyone here has a Malletkat, can you tell me if there is any differ?
The malletSTATION would make a great practice or live performance device. However, the bars are not graduated and feel a bit different from wood or metal bars. You would still need to practice on your actual performance instrument to learn the muscle memory. The contact noise is not very loud, a little quieter than a standard gum rubber practice pad when played with sticks.
Thank you ! I practice on my m55 all the time, but just having the option to practice at home (when living in an apartment) or anywhere, sounds like a great luxury to me! So grateful and very exited that pearl makes this possible for us mallet players!

I am worried about the breaking one of the sensors in the pads. If the pad stops working, to what do I have recourse?

There is an input for the KMI expander to enable midi in/out
