Soviet (70ies) adaptation is too academical, has best warfare scenes. But BBC is more lively and modern in a good way, more down to life, lite version.. You need to watch all i'd say

Miръ - World, Universe
+stern729 right, and the name of the book was "Война и миръ" before the reform
