Fun fact: did you know that when Danny mentioned "black stallion" he's talking about a black motorcycle he owned to travel around gainesville to commit burglaries.
Stop making excuses for him. Tell me, which "famous person" musician was a serial killer? Crazy how idiots like you will make excuses and throw morality out the window because he made a good song. Sickening
Beautiful. He mustve been very strong to be able to so that, and to pierce through the body and into 3inches into the floor? That's some dedication. I feel sorry for the boy
You're a rebel no one else can tame..but it really doesn't sound like he's saying 'no one else can tame'... is anyone else hearing some other words there?
Its no one can tame. For someone with an off centre mind I can relate, to say "else" is to spend a fraction longer on acknowledging other people, "else" carries things and particularly thoughts like - who did I know? Why did I know them? (Meaningless thoughts) therefore no one suits because it calls for everyone and everything to be acknowledged, grouped and handled.
@giggagenius2175 I agree with you, quite insightful. Guys like Rolling, psychopaths, simply do not view other humans even as other people intrinsically, much less actually seeing other people as individuals with equally inherent rights and wants as his own.. no, people are just blanks to a psychopath, just meaningless devices to be used in any way he chooses for his own pleasures.. there is no conscience in a psychopath, therefore no empathy or guilt, which directly leads to essentially what you said about how they view anyone else around them...
Some of the lyrics are wrong. Just wanted to correct. He doesn't say 'whats your game" but he says 'whats your gain' and not 'no one else can tame' just 'no one can tame'
a truly tortured soul trapped in his cognitive disillusion of reality commits a spree of crimes that speaks to the nature of his reality. a truly unfortunate event that i truly believe broke something inside him. something that no matter how hard he tried he couldnt fix and you can hear that in his music. you can hear that he knows there is something broken inside him and it truly pains him that he cant fix it. mind you this does not take away from the depravity of his crimes but sometimes you just gotta feel kinda bad for him. like seriously with a childhood like that its shocking how he didnt break sooner. granted i am not trying to excuse his crimes by any means. but at the same time it does make you feel for the guy even just a little bit. a truly hauntingly beautiful song from a truly tortured soul.
It'll never cease to amaze me how such a dark soul who was a literal grim reaper could create such a beautiful song.
What makes you think he have a dark soul? remember when you were a kid and you used to kill insects for fun.

A lot.of the good art in this world.comes from such sad places.
Man, sometimes you hear a talent, a cat this was miscast... if he wasn't such a villain he'd be a talented musician and this song proves it
Not an excuse but his childhood was seriously fucked up.
it's crazy how good the song is and how bad he was

This song perfectly illustrates the paradox of human existence; beauty within all ugliness, and the good within all evil.

First part sound a little bit The House Of The Rising Sun
He stuck a knife through the back of an 8 year old boy that went through him and stuck 3 inches into the floor in 1989
Yeah that stuck with me. And asked why he did it he replied "because they were in the way" meaning to get to the wife and have his way with her

I never saw him with a guitar.
And how did he even have to time to record this lol. Seems like he’d have more important things to worry about…
He was a drifter and never had regular jobs. He recorded songs on a tape recorder at his camp outside of town.
