- For some years now, we have had a KRENN model SB 32/9 RLM drill press machine standing around in our workshop.
We had to make the decision to either restore it or buy a newer replacement. Since we wanted to start our "German Restoration" channel, the decision to restore was obvious.
This is the second part of the very elaborate restoration of this drill press.
The first part shows you how we disassembled the machine. In the second part we will show you the restoration of the individual parts and the reassembly.

Yes, that was necessary, in the end we had to remove 1.5 mm on one corner and almost 3 mm on the other. thx for comment.

Nice work, and one part really helped me on removing bearings from the from pulley sleeve on my machine. thank you. My machine is not that old but those top bearings sound like crunching marbles, hoping the change out fixes it.

just a little advice, actually you should use your angle grinder pointing the other way around so that the sparks will come to you and you are cutting on the left hand side of the gearbox

Naja... technisch gut, Lackierung grausig. Schade das du die Schweißarbeiten nicht gezeigt hast.
Schade dass du die Lackierung nicht magst. Aber sollte ja kein Bugatti werden sondern eine Maschine für den täglichen Einsatz die wir intensiv nutzen. Dementsprechend halt eine Nutzlackierung und kein Bling Bling. Ja das mit dem schweißen haben wir lange diskutiert aber wäre halt dann doch etwas lange geworden. Beim nächsten mal vielleicht.
