Tough Turf is the first Sunsoft original to use the powerful 16-8 Hardware System. Still, considering there was very little variation amongst Capcom's Fight Fight and Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles clones that popped up in the early 90s. It is interesting to play a game that requires a different approach, and it really is a fresh alternative to Technos' Double Dragon.

More like they wanted to rob the drug lords so they could do all the drugs for themselves is a more realistic for that time plot line.
