  • In this video, we installed a fan duct to the cooling fan (back of hotend), to increase the airflow directed towards the nozzle ad the part. The model we printed today was designed for the stock extruder, that comes standard with the Robo 3D R1+ Printer.
    NOTICE: Sorry again for the delayed video publish date, due to issues with my very buggy and slow laptop :(
    This model was printed in HATCHBOX Dark Blue PLA Filament.

    Great video. Have you noticed any improvements in your prints since installing this mod?

      @Indio,
      Yes there were some major improvements in many of my more intricate models that I printed. Overall I noticed less of the blobs and other strange deformations that I was getting in prints. However unfortunately, my hot end's thermistors came lose soon after that, so now I am currently installing a new E3D V6 hot end setup. Check out my latest video on that here if you would like:th-cam.com/video/T54LvVJzfLA/w-d-xo.html

      Bushido 3D awesome, i just installed the xxl lcd screen and im so thrillled with it! Now im going to do fan duct, and then cable chain. The cable chain seems tricky though. Did you put an extra fan on your printer?

      That is great to hear! The XXL LCD is definitely one of the best and most necessary upgrades on the R1 and R1+ printers. Personally I have not added a cable chain on, it does seen like a bit of a difficult task, and I do also have another fan ready to install onto my printer once I install my new E3D V6 onto my printer.
      Thanks for the avid support of this channel!
