Will someone please help me understand traditional Christianity? When he says "the church," about whom is he speaking? Do all Christian churches (baptist, presbyterians, Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans, etc.) make up "the Church?" If not, why is he judging other churches? Can't they worship as they see fit without being criticized by another Christian church? If they are all "one church" then why is there division in the Church? Why are they criticizing each other for their manner of worship? Is Christ divided against Himself? I really don't get it. Love the preaching, confused about the message. Thanks.
"The Church" is speaking of all people who are saved, placed their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of all their sins. By the forgiveness of sins, we become a child of the living God. A future in heaven after this life. This is Bible truth. Not by works, only by faith. If they are all saved then what's the big deal if one uses instruments and another doesn't, or if one wears a suit and one wears flip flops? "The Traditional Christian Church seems to be fighting against itself. And by the way the Bible truth, as you call it, says "Faith without works is dead." (James 1:5-6) It sounds like we are saved by our faith as demonstrated by our works to me. When Paul talks of not being saved by the works of the Law, he is referring to the Law of Moses which the Jews struggled to let go of in place of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not saying we don't need to do anything to be saved. The Lord Himself taught that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Baptism is an act, a work, that demonstrates our faith in the Savior. It is also a commandment that needs to be kept in order to be saved.

If they are all saved then what's the big deal if one uses instruments and another doesn't, or if one wears a suit and one wears flip flops? "The Traditional Christian Church seems to be fighting against itself. And by the way the Bible truth, as you call it, says "Faith without works is dead." (James 1:5-6) It sounds like we are saved by our faith as demonstrated by our works to me. When Paul talks of not being saved by the works of the Law, he is referring to the Law of Moses which the Jews struggled to let go of in place of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not saying we don't need to do anything to be saved. The Lord Himself taught that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Baptism is an act, a work, that demonstrates our faith in the Savior. It is also a commandment that needs to be kept in order to be saved.

I can tell you in the day of Christ, God was pleased with only two churches, Philadelphia and Smyrna. explained why in the letters of Christ's disciples, Thessalonians. Clearly all churches are not teaching the same truth, such an important thing where souls are concerned. In the end, we will all be corrected in our error of understanding.
