I have been teaching 18 years and years 1-2 and 6-8 seemed to be the hardest. Hope that this time away from the profession renews your spirit. You are entering another difficult trench in becoming a stay-at-home-mom that we will continue to support. Happy for the journey you are making for your family’s future.

We’ve also been together since I was 15, he was 17. So we’ve been together for 55 years, married for 53 years. We are so blessed. We have 4 kids and 10 grands! God is so good!

I wasn't a teacher but I did work in the school system for 27 years, and I can tell you that teachers are REALLY underpaid and underappreciated. Parents think it's so easy, but they have no clue what goes on in classrooms everyday. Discipline issues, special individual student needs, home issues....the list goes on and on. Good for you for making the decision for your family. You're going to be great no matter what you do, Abby!!! And yes, BLOCK THE HATERS!!!

I love your story about you and your husband meeting at a young age. I met my husband when I was 14 & he was 16 the end of June we will celebrate our 19th anniversary. We get along like peas and rice. I wouldnt change a thing about my life.

I taught for 6 years and then had kids. Went back when my two boys were 1.5 and 3.5 but only part time. I worked part time and then once there wasn’t part time work I just took a break from teaching. Teaching is just so challenging to do well and be a good and present mom as well. Now I’m on staff at my church running the kids program and I have much better balance and I try to only work when my kids are in school (and on Sunday mornings of course). It’s not as much time with kids or as challenging as teaching is, but it’s a great balance for our family life!

Teaching is hard. I am a SpEd Teacher in DFW area, and it is just getting harder. I am Blessed that my kids are grown or I would be back home too. Too much stress in trying to be a good wife, mom, and then teacher. Bless you and your family in this new journey, you will love being with your kiddos!

In some ways I'd love to live in a small town but it sounds like I'd not like some things about living in a small town. While I do hope that your marriage is a good one and you have a minimum of troubles but in the main your private details are none of my business. yes exactly you both agree you are in it until death do you part. friends, time alone to improve yourself and to relax. I am bubbly and out going, hubby is reserved and quiet but funny at home and a great husband but is a pain at times, lol. support each other no matter what we went through 2 different careers from poor to better off to poor and now retired and blessed. I had a 10 year break from a career and started working at age 35 which helped me stay motivated. 62 years old retired and ready for my next step in life Hawaii cruise 15 days coming after the Holidays

Hi Abby...I became a new subscriber during the onset of covid when we all had to stay indoors and have been with you ever since 🤗 I have a much better skin care routine because of you 💕 My mother was a great cook but she never invited me into the kitchen with her. Ever. Back when I was a young teen, the convenience foods hit the market. And, every box of this or package of that I found in the cabinets on Saturday's (I'd make them) while she was in town. Your adorable sweet daughter Vera seems to have always been by your side as you cook. I know she has gotten to toss in a few things while you cook at times. But, I'll bet your subscriber's would love to see a video where you teach & allow her to make something. You are a precious gifted young lady 🤗 Thank you for all your ideas you share with us. My children are grown now, but I agree with you, 3 years was the perfect age to potty train my children also.

yes exactly you both agree you are in it until death do you part. friends, time alone to improve yourself and to relax. I am bubbly and out going, hubby is reserved and quiet but funny at home and a great husband but is a pain at times, lol. support each other no matter what we went through 2 different careers from poor to better off to poor and now retired and blessed. I had a 10 year break from a career and started working at age 35 which helped me stay motivated. 62 years old retired and ready for my next step in life Hawaii cruise 15 days coming after the Holidays

The only way to take negativity out is to block because people can be cruel and cutting and this can creat a lot of mental distress and harm,much more so than they realise.the impact can be massive in short. We all have feelings.

Loved this ♥ I was in the exact same position re: kids. My youngest turned 2 in January, and it's been my first time without a newborn! It's so nice. I am now pregnant with our 4th and last, due in October, and super excited to be finishing our family!

My mother was a great cook but she never invited me into the kitchen with her. Ever. Back when I was a young teen, the convenience foods hit the market. And, every box of this or package of that I found in the cabinets on Saturday's (I'd make them) while she was in town.
Your adorable sweet daughter Vera seems to have always been by your side as you cook. I know she has gotten to toss in a few things while you cook at times. But, I'll bet your subscriber's would love to see a video where you teach & allow her to make something.
