After yr 3, 4, you see certain characteristics in Scianos teams. Disciplined, fast, swarming and confident even in tough situations. So fun to watch this transformation.
The work these RUTGERS players have put in is UNPARALLELED. DISCIPLINED as anything, no quit, mentally focused, each and everyone of them are outplaying their recruiting expectations. Love to see that growth pay off.
That game was insane in person.. once we got the wheels rolling with that TD Rutgers lead the entire time.The band put on the best halftime show I've seen at any field or sport. Awesome to see the hall of fame inductees, red panda, fireworks, even bill belichick somewhere out there the blackout is always 🔥.
They beat a good team with loads of talent. The defense bent, but didn't break. Washington is explosive on offense and RU held them to 18 points and got enough stops to win without making key mistakes. Got to love the effort 👌.
I was there last night and the Stadium was electric, It really did feel like we affected Washington last night. Great Win and the best Football game ive ever seen in person. It turned my Fortnite and COD obsessed nephew into a fan all with one game
Schiano's crazy idea is one day coaching Rutgers as the winning team in the national championship game, which is just a little bit less crazy of an idea seeing a win like this.
Well coached Rutgers was able to run when needed and they passed just enough to convert. The Huskies played extremely well in a hostile road environment traveling thousands of miles on a short week. Red zone offense and penalties have really cost the Dawgs this season. Failed red zone attempts. 3 missed FGs. Stupid side line infraction flipping 7 points. Tipped pass to Giles Jackson in the end zone. If the Huskies can correct some of these things, their balance could make things interesting against a one dimensional UM team. Remaining schedule could be the most brutal in school history-- Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, USC, Iowa, Indiana, UCLA.
I think Rutgers has a fair chance vs Nebraska if the linemen are all okay after this game. Give AK 3 seconds back there he can find a receiver between running plays.
Weird game but we should be proud to pull out the grind win. Stats wise Washington obviously was better and moving the ball down the field with ease except for the red zone and that’s why we won. But even with that if Washington doesn’t convert that fourth and 1 and the receiver bobbles the ball for one more step, we win pretty convincing. One of those games were you had to watch it all to understand it
I am nothing against Rutgers as I am a Husky fan, though, and only am presented with a team that in its first year and a new coach and system for whatever is new in this thing. It is the first Husky team that I ever seen that wins every category possible vs. a team in Rutgers. Won yards and yards allowed by a whole lot and time of possession. We beat you all in every category here. Stats wise, UW dominated a game. But loses it still. I had never seen that before. It did not feel like we were here dominating, but the stats do not lie. If the game is about here, winning and things and what we can do to make it easier for UW to win. A lot of here people of UW will disagree with me; as I do not dislike Will Rogers. But it is here embarrassing when your starter can not take a snap properly in a game. Will has done and had problems in every game. Will is only here one year for his NFL future, as he does not look NFL bound; his arm is too weak for any offense, and his running is as limited. Demond is our future and can take a snap and can run and pass. Demond is a player who looks decent enough where he could not look any worse than Will down at the goal line or taking a snap. Think future here. How do you stay in a game where you as played horrible but still dominated Rutgers and lose? Put Demond in as I would rather think of future.

Coach Schiano must make sure the boys get some SACKS get some INTs AND RECEPTIONS. very important. the passing game to the corners will also relieve pressure off your backs. grind win for Rutgers. gritty win...

USC and Nebraska are the only losses I see.

Rutgers was better when it counted. Washington didn't blow it. They couldn't get it done against a team with far more steel.
