Venetian Terrazzo over plywood subfloor, yes it's possible. uncoupled membranes, double layers ply

Concrete terrazzo installation in this mid century modern house in Duncan, BC. The floor features recycled glass aggregate, recycled venetian marble pieces from a local quarry and Ardex concrete. The floor is poured over a wood substrate with an uncoupled membrane. There are many parts to the sandwich which gives enough flexural strength to stop the crack. A UHPC layer of 1/2" is poured over the uncoupled membrane and the terrazzo is then bonded to the Ductal concrete.
