what about when its not the horn? What about when its the horn button or the computer or a wire broken? If you just want to shot gun a horn on it then you dont need a video.
Hello, Great video. Thanks for posting. I replaced the horn on my 2013 VW jetta 2.5 SE. Horn is now working but anti theft alarm and panic alarm is not working. Is the same horn used for the steering wheel horn as well as the anti theft alarm?
My horn and wipers stopped working at the same time too on my 2011 Jetta. I also have issues with the abs control module. Replaced wiper motor now diagnosing the horn.
@@ndirish4515 the horn I just went with a dual tone horn. Sounds better than the original one. The abs control module I chose not to replace, still works just the dash lights come on and off sometimes. Figured wasn’t worth spending half what the car is currently worth on abs.
@@alexone6357 I ended up finding a PBS module from a junkyard that matched the exact part number for $300 then had a guy program it for 200. For the longest time I just was going to ignore it too. I have a feeling my horn is the clock spring though.

there is a seperate horn for the alarm and panic functions, so that information is irrelevant. Go to your horn, see if it gets voltage when you have a helper push the horn button (key on of course). Then make sure the ground on the horn is good.
@@CoolAirVw the key switch keep sticking my key and take long to release it. Also my horn hasn't worked for the past 6 months.The window buttons to wind down the windows works whenever it feels like. VW is garbage

@@CoolAirVw Any clue why the panic alarm don’t beep but lights flash and when locking the doors with fob it don’t beep?

@@Jeffkevans22 It should have a hi tone horn on right longitudinal member and low tone horn on the left longitudinal member
That is called “percussive maintenance.” It works a lot on various lights too.

cant beat bio directional control it helps some much on diagnosing electrical problems

Small problems can irritate a car owner. My Jetta has its own issues but that fugger (2.5l) starts up EVERY TIME.
